Abstract: One embodiment of a system comprises a client device and a remote content management system. The client device comprises a synchronization manager that maintains a remote virtual model that models a synchronization state of a remote peer resource at the content management system and a local virtual model that models a synchronization state of a local peer resource in the local file system. The synchronization manager determines that the remote peer resource and local peer resource are out of sync based on a comparison of the remote virtual model and the local virtual model and synchronizes changes from the local cache to the content management system to update the remote peer resource or synchronizes changes from the content management system to update the local peer resource.

Abstract: Content management systems are implemented according to a multitenant architecture by which software and its supporting architecture serves multiple customers of a service. Each tenant may be given a share of the application's data, configuration, user management, and other aspects of the application. Each tenant's data is isolated and typically remains invisible to other tenants so that tenants do not share or see each other's data. Embodiments described herein provide mechanisms by which a tenant can delegate administrator rights to an external user such that the external user can grant other users access to the tenant's content while the tenant controls the level of access that is provided to the external users.

Abstract: A search engine may maintain a list of derived metadata. When an event occurs that requires updating a search index, the search engine can determine which metadata is derived metadata and take appropriate actions with respect to the derived metadata. For example, if a request is received to update the index for a particular object, the search engine may protect the derived metadata from change while updating the other metadata in the index. As another example, if a request is received to update the text content for the object, the search engine may change the text content and the derived metadata. By identifying derived metadata, the search engine can protect the derived metadata from change when a request is received that otherwise causes metadata to change and can change the derived metadata when a request is received that would otherwise not change the metadata portion of the index.

Abstract: A content management system may instantiate, from the same super class defined in a database schema, principal objects representing users and groups and content objects representing documents and folders. The principal objects and the content objects share the same social interaction functions. When a content object is modified, the system can create a message in which the content object identifies itself as a first person, update a message table such that any follower of the content object is notified of the message, and update a profile or feed associated with the content object. At least because content objects can “socialize” like principal objects, the system can generate a social graph containing content objects as nodes, map relationships among principal objects and content objects, and make recommendations to perhaps change/enhance such relationships.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing content items of the type used in Web sites. In accordance with the disclosure, site objects, channel objects and content objects are associated with each other to form a hierarchical site structure. The content objects are linked to corresponding content items in a content repository, and are grouped together by association with channel objects in the site structure. Each of the objects in the site structure has an associated set of content services and can be deployed individually or in combination, while maintaining references to the related objects in the hierarchical site structure.

Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed provide systems and methods that use a local authenticator within a domain to provide a credential to access a resource of the domain to a non-local requestor. When a request is received from a non-local requestor at the domain the non-local requestor can be authenticated based on the request. The local authenticator can then be accessed to obtain a credential. This credential may be the same type of credential provided to members of the domain when they authenticate using the local authenticator. The credential is provided to the non-local requestor so the non-local requestor can access the resource of the domain using the credential and authentication of the non-local requestor with respect to these accesses can be accomplished using the local domain authenticator and the credential.

Abstract: Systems and methods for content management wherein a client can submit requests to a first API which the forwards the requests to either an IMDB or a gateway to a distributed cluster-computing framework. Requests to the IMDB are serviced and responses from the IMDB are returned to the client. Requests that are forwarded to the gateway are first modified for the distributed cluster-computing framework, and are then parsed by the gateway and used to instantiate processors that generate corresponding requests to the distributed cluster-computing framework. Responsive data from the distributed cluster-computing framework is used to generate responses to the client requests that are forwarded to the first API which modifies them to appear as if they were generated by the IMDB. These modified responses are returned by the first API to the client.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for storing documents in a cloud storage system comprising a cloud processor and a plurality of storage components are disclosed.

Abstract: A network editor comprises a central location with stored videos such as movies that can be edited by editors at remote locations. An editor receives a representation of a video and specifies edits relative to the representation, enabling the editor to use a device lacking sufficient processing capability to edit the video directly, and also reducing the volume of information transmitted between the central location and the remote editor. The central location is able to provide the edited movie in a format suitable to the display capabilities of the viewing device of the viewer requesting the edited video.

Abstract: To resolve a conflict between CMIS secondary types and certain ECM features such as content server categories, and allow the underlying ECM system to be fully CMIS-compliant, an ECM-independent ETL tool comprising a CMIS-compliant, repository-specific connector is provided. Operating on an integration services server at an integration tier between an application tier and a storage tier where the repository resides, the connector is particular configured to support CMIS secondary types and specific to the repository. On startup, the connector can import any category definition from the repository. The category definition contains properties associated with a category in the repository. When the category is attached to a document, the properties are viewable via a special category object type and a category identifier for the category. Any application can be adapted to leverage the ECM-independent ETL tool disclosed herein.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for browsing offline and queried content are presented herein. Specifically, embodiments may receive a request that a content associated with a request be managed at the user cache on a mobile device. Embodiment may also determine that the content associated with the request has been updated and, based on the determination the content associated with the request has been updated, send an instruction with respect to the content associated with the request to the mobile application.

Abstract: A system may receive a request from a user to build a custom application specific to an operating system (OS) platform. The system may include an application gateway and the custom application may be a user-customized variation of an application gateway client. The system may prepare a build request and send it to a bonding client running on a work station specific to the OS platform. The bonding client may execute build scripts with user-provided configuration information to create the custom application. Instead of submitting the custom application to a third-party digital distribution platform, the bonding client may store the custom application in a storage location accessible by the system. The system, responsive to the request from the user, may send a response to the computing device, the response containing a link to the storage location of the custom application.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a web-based editing tool that intelligently leverages certain functionality of a browser, web client, desktop client, and native software at the client side to provide seamless user experience when editing a file over a network. Responsive to a user selecting a file for editing, the web client may send a passive content request to a web server embedded in the desktop client at a specific address on the client device. If no response, the web client prompts the user to start or install the desktop client on the client device. If a response is received, the web client sends a request to the desktop client with a user identifier and authorization to download the file from a server. The desktop client downloads the file, opens it in the native software, monitors the file being edited, and updates a delta associated with the file to the server.

Abstract: An entity modeling system integrated with a low-code application development platform may have a web/mobile-based user interface that can run in a browser environment on user devices ranging from desktop computers to smart phones. Users such as a subject matter expert may access an entity model designer tool of the system to model an entity. Responsive to user interaction with an entity composition function, the system may access a data store over a network and generate a view including a collection of entity building block(s) retrieved from the data store. Responsive to the user selecting a first entity building block from the collection to add to the entity, the system may automatically extend the entity to include settings of the first entity building block. The settings may include at least one of a property, permission, action, behavior, or resource to the entity.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for providing search term suggestions in a search system are disclosed. Embodiments as disclosed may utilize the sound of an original search term to locate candidate terms based on the sound of the candidate terms and the frequency of appearance of the candidate terms in the corpus of documents being searched. A set of search term suggestions can then be determined from the candidate terms and returned to the user as search term suggestions for the original search term.

Abstract: Responsive to user interacting with a selectable object on a user interface, the selectable object is transitioned in an animated transitioning process into a dialog menu with selectable options. The animated transitioning process can include rotating a part of the selectable object (e.g., rotating a “+” symbol into an “x” symbol), changing a function of the part of the selectable object being rotated (e.g., from “Add” to “Close”), and changing the shape and/or size of the selectable object. As part of the animated transitioning process, dialog menu items may be displayed in the dialog menu. Once the animated transitioning process is complete, the user can interact with the dialog menu. Closing the dialog menu triggers an animated transitioning process that transitions the dialog menu to a selectable object.

Abstract: Content is captured and archived at an archive center (AC) and, depending upon records management (RM) policy, is managed by the AC or under RM control by a content server (CS). Both the AC and CS may be part of an enterprise content management system. The AC provides a user-friendly interface through which retention zones may be defined, and functionality for applying RM policy. The functionality can be triggered via a specific content property or through a retention zone under RM control. The RM control can be turned on or off from within the AC using the user-friendly interface. Archived content is not moved or duplicated. Rather, metadata and a link to the storage location are sent to the CS which, in turn, creates a content server document that is linked to the archived content. Only a portion of archived content is exposed to the CS through the AC.

Abstract: An ad in a movie can be a static ad having a position in the movie that cannot be moved, or a dynamic ad having a position in the movie that can be changed. When a viewer wishes to skip a portion of the movie containing the ad, the playback system determines whether the ad is static or dynamic. If the ad is static, only the portion of the movie preceding the static ad can be skipped; the ad is unskippable. This technique is referred to as “bounceback” since the end of the skip bounces back to the start of the static ad. If the ad is dynamic, it is moved to after the end of the skip. This technique is referred to as “slip-ad” since the ad slips to later in the movie. When a movie has multiple ads, some can be static and some can be dynamic.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods disclosed herein provide an application development platform in an enterprise computing environment. More specifically, in certain embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed that enable an application development platform to reuse, extend, and/or customize entity-based applications in an enterprise computing environment. The application development platform can extend an entity to include user configured settings including zero or at least one of a property, a permission, an action, a behavior, or a resource to the entity to generate user customized versions of the entity. The applications may be customized by an end user, while allowing the underlying application to be updated without losing any user customizations.

Abstract: A document production system may construct a document from fragments based on a theme associated with the document. The theme may contain section(s), each section having an access control list (ACL) associated therewith. The ACL may specify role-based user group(s) and permission(s) for the role-based user group(s). The system may evaluable rules applicable to the document. At least one rule may pertain to the ACL(s). The evaluation may include, at least in part, utilizing user login information received over a network from a client device. In constructing the document, the system may assemble the document in accordance with the rules and utilizing the fragments and meta information that describes the document. The system may render the document thus assembled utilizing the ACL, generate a view of the document, and communicate the view of the document over the network to the client device for presentation on the client device.
