Abstract: A technique using a trocar including a retractable camera in which fogging and organic matters are removed to clean a lens of the camera. The trocar includes a pipe portion and a head portion. The pipe portion includes a side opening portion. According to rotation of a changing over mechanism and a shaft, the retractable camera rotates such that the camera is changeable between a stored position and a deployed position by passing through the side opening portion. A wiper blade is fixed to an end face of the side opening portion on a tip side of the trocar. When the retractable camera rotates, a tip of the wiper blade contacts a camera lens in a deformable manner.

  • Patent number: 7033679
Abstract: The metal film of the present invention is a dense film of a single crystal that has very low surface roughness and very good crystal orientation because an arithmetic mean roughness of the surface is not larger than 2 nm and a (111) peak intensity of X-ray diffraction is not less than 20 times the sum of all other peaks. Also the metal oxide film of the present invention is a dense film that includes less oxygen defects and almost no voids therein because a content of a non-oxidized metal is not higher than 1 mole % of a metal component that constitutes the metal oxide and a packing density is 0.98 or higher.

  • Patent number: 6181741
Abstract: The back end position of a pulse, which is transmitted from a remote control, varies according to the transmission distance, and the pulse width changes. A remote control receiver of the present invention detects the pulse width of a header, which is formed at the head of each frame in a remote control signal from the remote control, so as to detect the transmission distance of the remote control signal and a change in back end position of each pulse in a data part, which is transmitted after the header. Then, the back end position of each pulse is corrected to original. This eliminates the change in pulse width resulting from a change in transmission distance, and increases the allowable range of the transmission distance of the remote control.

  • Patent number: 5759100
Abstract: A game machine controller according to the present invention is provided with a memory pack equipped with a nonvolatile memory. The memory pack is able to store a plurality of commands designated by a predetermined button operation as command programs. Once the data is stored, it is retained unless it is compulsorily rewritten or deleted. The command program stored in the memory pack is retrieved and executed by a simple operation of the command buttons. The memory pack can be attached and detached freely so that it can conform to each software. As a result, once the command programs are stored, there is no need to renew the command programs every time the game software is replaced.

  • Patent number: 5208642
Abstract: An electro-optical distance meter has a light-emitting element that is directed through a shutter to a target and returned from the target to a photodetector. Internal and external optical paths are continuously switched by the shutter with a predetermined time ratio. The internal optical path is used for calibrating the distance being measured. The meter reduces the measurement time and enhances accuracy. In one form, the shutter comprises a disc having a C-shaped opening with an index thereon for providing a reference signal. In another form, the shutter comprises a liquid crystal switch.

  • Patent number: 4733069
Abstract: Known absolute type position encoders have poor resolution due to bits density of tracks formed on an encoding member and mechanical size of sensors opposed to the encoding member for reading absolute position data from the tracks. This invention provides a position encoder comprising a laser scanning type encoding member on which data tracks aligned at equal intervals in a moving direction of a part to be position-measured. A sensor with a single laser beam deflectable along the track is used for reading the position data. High resolution is obtained since it depends upon recorded pitch of tracks. Many data can be recorded on each track, including error correction code for the position code. It improves reliability of the encoder.
