Abstract: A vehicle lamp includes a lighting unit and a lens unit. The lighting unit includes pluralities of first and second light-emitting members. The lens unit includes a dispersing lens, a cover lens having a dispersing portion and a concentrating portion, and a shielding layer that has a light-transmissible section. Light emitted by the first light-emitting members passes through the dispersing lens, the light-transmissible section of the shielding layer, and the dispersing portion of the cover lens to produce a dispersing light pattern, and light emitted by the second light-emitting members passes through the concentrating portion of the cover lens to produce a concentrated light pattern.
Abstract: A multi-function vehicle light assembly. The light assembly includes a substantially enclosed housing body with an open top. A lens covers the open top, the lens having a first red lens portion and an adjacent second clear lens portion. A first LED array generates red light for vehicle tail lighting, with the first array located beneath the first lens portion. A second LED array generates red light for vehicle brake lighting, with the second array located beneath the first lens portion. A third LED array generates white light for vehicle back-up lighting, with the third array located beneath the second lens portion.
Abstract: A tamper resistant and theft resistant light assembly for a tractor trailer or other vehicle that can be easily installed on the vehicle but cannot be removed without being broken. The light assembly may have one or more flexible projection fingers that deform to allow the light assembly to be mounted on the vehicle body plate by pushing the light assembly into an opening therein, but prevent the light assembly from being removed from the opening. The light assembly has a mounting ring that breaks away from the light assembly if an attempt is made to pry the light assembly out of the opening.
Abstract: A vehicle light assembly with multiple light arrays. The light assembly includes a base housing having a recess and an upstanding edge forming an open top. A light mounting board in the recess has a lower side and an opposed upper side. A first array of lights on the upper side of the mounting board projects light towards the open top. A second array of lights on the lower side of the mounting board projects lights away from the open top. A reflector received in the recess reflects light projected from the second array toward the open top.
