  • Patent number: 10740733
Abstract: A sharded, permissioned, distributed ledger may reduce the amount of work and communication required by each participant, thus possibly avoiding scalability bottlenecks that may be inherent in previous distributed ledger implementations and possibly enabling the use of additional resources to translate to increased throughput. A sharded, permissioned, distributed ledger may be made up of multiple shards, each of which may also be a distributed ledger and which may operate in parallel. Participation within a sharded, permissioned, distributed ledger may be allowed only with permission of an authority. A sharded, permissioned, distributed ledger may include a plurality of nodes, each including a dispatcher configured to receive transaction requests from clients and to forward received requests to verifiers configured to append transactions to individual ones of the shards.

  • Publication number: 20150148003
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, non-transitory computer readable storage medium, and apparatus that implement an adaptable payload object model. In one embodiment, a payload object is generated using a payload specification that defines a plurality of payload attributes, where the payload object includes the plurality of payload attributes. The plurality of payload attributes of the payload object are populated with message attribute values that are extracted from an incoming message. The plurality of payload attributes of the payload object is validated. In one embodiment, an outgoing message is built that includes the payload object and is forwarded to a destination, such as a subscriber or a charging engine.

  • Publication number: 20150120727
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for an optimization framework that optimizes the amount of information persisted in a policy session using rule introspection. In one embodiment, the optimization framework receives a message, where the message includes an attribute, and the attribute includes an attribute name and an attribute value. The optimization framework consults a mapping table to determine persistence behavior associated with the attribute name. The optimization framework persists the attribute in a rule field cache, according to the persistence behavior. In one embodiment, the persistence behavior includes a persistence type, a persistence mode, and/or custom persistence logic, which specify how the attribute should be persisted. In one embodiment, the optimization framework also provides for performing rule introspection and rule evaluation of decision rules.

  • Publication number: 20120117040
Abstract: In a data storage system having a server and a media drive, a method and system for verifying data stored on a medium. The method includes reading, at the media drive in response to a verify command indicative of a user request to perform data verification, a logical record stored on the medium, where the logical record comprising data and a first checksum. The method also includes generating, at the media drive, a second checksum based on the data of the logical record read, and comparing, at the media drive, the second checksum generated at the media drive and the first checksum. The method still further includes communicating, from the media drive to the server, a status indication based on the comparison of the first checksum and the second checksum, where the status indication is representative of a result of the requested data verification.

  • Publication number: 20050190692
Abstract: Systems, methodologies, media, and other embodiments associated with identifying network communications of services are described. One example system embodiment includes a service identification logic configured to monitor execution of software of an application server and identify services being processed. The service identification logic can further include a logic configured to identify network communications associated with an identified service. The example system may also include a notification logic configured to notify one or more network devices to provide priority processing for the network communications associated with the identified service.
