  • Patent number: 8209200
Abstract: A system and method are provided for maintaining updated passenger travel records across multiple system platforms. A network server is adapted to receive input data from a passenger including an indication that the passenger desires to purchase tickets or make reservations for travel related services. A booking engine acts to purchase the ticket or book the reservation and request and receive a copy of a passenger name record created by a global distribution system. The booking engine then forwards a copy of the received passenger name record to the database. The database is adapted to form an association between the received copy of the passenger name record and the input data received from the passenger, and store the copy of the passenger name record. The database may further perform a comparison between the input data and the received passenger name record to identify discrepancies.

  • Patent number: 7962354
Abstract: A system and method of booking an itinerary on at least one of a multiplicity of host environments include a plurality of host adaptor modules. Each host adaptor module is configured to interact with one of the plurality of host ticketing environments. A booking engine is provided for receiving commands related to booking the air travel itinerary and determining an appropriate host ticketing environment for processing the commands based on a number of predefined criteria. When the booking engine receives a command it forwards the command to a first host adaptor module which is associated with first host ticketing environment selected by the booking engine for processing the command. The host adaptor module receives the command and issues the command to said first host ticketing environment. The first host adaptor module in turn receives a response from the first host ticketing environment and determines whether the response comports with an expected response.

  • Patent number: 7725488
Abstract: A system for loading data to a search system configured to process requests and present data meeting criteria specified in the request. A first server is configured to monitor a second server for the availability of a new data set, to request a transfer of the new data set when the second server indicates that the new data set is available, and to store the new data set. A third server is in communication with the first server and is configured to transfer the new data set from the first server and simultaneously store an old data set and the new data set. A fourth server is in communication with the third server and is configured to simultaneously operate a first search process and a second search process. The first search process processes requests searching the old data set and the second search process processes requests searching the new data set.

  • Patent number: 7587390
Abstract: A system for searching a data set to identify data elements with the data set that meet user defined criteria. The system comprises a network file system server, a data search engine server communicating with the network file system server, and a query distributor configured to send search queries to the data search engine server. An old data set and a new data set are stored on the network file system server in a manner such that said data search engine server may selectively access and transfer portions of the old data set and the new data set to a data storage memory of the data search engine server, where the data search engine server identifies data elements within the accessed portions of the old data set and the new data set that meet the user defined search criteria.

  • Patent number: 7376662
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for gathering and analyzing data related to travel conditions and generating and sending a message explaining the travel conditions to one or more travelers. The present invention includes a travel conditions analyzer which accesses data and information from several different databases such as weather condition websites and travel websites. The data and information from the databases is analyzed and predictions on travel delays are made based on the data and information. A messaging tool determines a group of travelers that are affected by the adverse travel conditions. Then the messaging tool generates a message based on the travel conditions and sends the message to one or more affected travelers. The affected travelers can therefore change their travel plans or make other arrangements as needed based on the information contained in the message.

  • Patent number: 7231382
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for receiving and loading new data sets into a system provided for searching such data sets in order to return elements of data that correspond to user defined search criteria. The system includes a master database, a data loading master server, a network file transfer server, and a search engine server operable to simultaneously process search queries on an old data set and a new data set. The method according to the present invention includes the steps of receiving a new data set, setting a flag to indicate that the new data set has been received, requesting a file transfer and transferring the new data set to a data loading master server, selectively copying portions of the new data set to a search engine server, and processing first and second queries in response to a user request simultaneously. The first query is processed on an old data set, and the second query is processed on the new data set.
