  • Patent number: 10698724
Abstract: A distributed computing system includes several partitions that each contain a separate copy of shared resources that receive modifications via behaviors and transactions specified by a user. The transaction manager performs the requested behavior or transaction in parallel on each copy of the shared resources as indicated by a resource ID. This allows the distributed computing system to operate in parallel without competing for the same shared resource, avoiding deadlocks and race conditions. If a behavior or transaction fails while modifying a copy of a shared resource, the transaction manager prevents the behavior or transaction from modifying the remaining copies and preempts results from the failed behavior or transaction. The transaction manager reestablishes a consistent state across shared resources by rolling back the failed behavior or transaction, reverting each copy of the shared resources to its state prior to executing the behavior or transaction.

  • Patent number: 10360217
Abstract: A computer implemented method for data integration. An event relational database having a plurality of event frames related in a hierarchical structure is accessed. Each event frame representing a corresponding event within a corresponding timeframe. A graphical representation of the hierarchical structure of the event relational database is displayed in a graphical user interface. A user input is received selecting an event frame of the hierarchical structure from the graphical representation. A hierarchical search template is displayed based on the selected event frame of the hierarchical structure. The event relational database is searched with a search query corresponding to the hierarchical search template to identify one or more matching event frames of the hierarchical structure. The method also includes retrieving, from a time series database that includes time series data, a portion of the time series data corresponding to the one or more matching event frames.

  • Patent number: 9444257
Abstract: A micro-grid control system has a first 2×2 decoupled controller that controls voltage and voltage angle by adjusting real and reactive power using real time feedback, and a second 2×2 decoupled controller that controls real and reactive power by adjusting voltage and voltage angle using real time feedback. The first 2×2 decoupled controller and second 2×2 decoupled controller together form a hierarchical microgrid control system, where the second 2×2 decoupled controller is a supervisory controller of the first 2×2 decoupled controller. The micro-grid control system may also include a third 2×2 decoupled controller that supervises the second 2×2 controller.

  • Patent number: 8498752
Abstract: A power system controller using a 2×2 decoupling controller, a model reference, and feedback with delay. Embodiments provide control of microgrid frequency F and voltage V. In addition, this technique can also be used to control the real and reactive power delivered from the microgrid to the connected macrogrid. The control engineering approach is the same in both cases, but the roles of the four variables involved are reversed.

  • Patent number: 8457912
Abstract: A method for monitoring a power grid uses power line sensors to measure time-stamped data representing AC current carried by the power grid at a multiple locations on the power grid, communicates the measured data from the power line sensors to a grid analysis device where the data measured by the power line sensors is synchronized and unwrapped to produce absolute phase data. The absolute phase data is then analyzed to generate predictions of instability of the power grid. The resulting unwrapped angle could also be called the “angle distance” from the reference.
