Abstract: A plunger device for use with a beverage press having a screen for filtering fines from an infused beverage. A flexible seal is provided that is compressible to function properly in different sized containers. The seal may be made of a material such as rubber or rubberized plastics or the like and may have a width that is greater than its thickness. Various seal embodiments including ascending, descending and non-circular embodiments are disclosed. Brew control and multiple access openings are also disclosed.
Abstract: A double walled polycarbonate liquid holding vessel. The vessel may have an inner wall and an outer wall that are coupled to each other in a manner that defines an air tight gap therebetween. A resealable unit may be provided with the vessel that permits resealable access to the interior of the inner wall. The outer wall may be multi-section or single section, and various techniques may be used to conceal joints used to mount the outer wall to the remainder of the vessel. Various embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract: A fluid holding vessel that has a liquid holding member, a bottom attached handle and a base member. The liquid holding member may have a shell and a lining, and preferably has an exposed side wall made of plastic with a seamless surface. The principal components of the vessel may be joined by a single fastener. The handle may have an attachment end secured between the liquid holding member and a base member and a free-standing user end. The lining and/or base member may be made of a metallic material.
Abstract: A vessel for holding liquid having an outer ceramic shell and an inner metallic lining. The metallic lining may extend over the top of the shell to provide protection from damage. A base member may be provided. The metallic material may be any food safe metal, including stainless steel and aluminum and alloys thereof. The ceramic may be any suitable ceramic including porcelain, earthenware and glass. Handle and non-handles vessels are disclosed as are resealable and non-resealable vessels. The metallic and ceramic materials may be separated by an insulative gap.
Abstract: A lighted vessel, container or other item and a base unit for same. The base unit includes a resealable watertight housing that contains a light source. A mechanism is provided that activates and de-activates the light source in a manner that in non-invasive of said housing. This mechanism preferably includes magnetic actuation.
