Abstract: A system for interleaving substrate under food products is provided. The system includes an interleaver assembly configured to interleave substrate with food products. A programmable logic controller (PLC) includes a sensor in communication with the interleaver assembly. The sensor is configured to detect an identifier provided on each substrate stock of a plurality of substrate stocks, and each identifier is associated with an interleaving profile. The interleaver assembly interleaves the substrate with the food product according to a specific interleaving profile in response to the sensor detecting the identifier on the substrate stock.
Abstract: An arrangement for rolling a product is disclosed. The arrangement includes a drive conveyor, and a rolling assembly positioned above the drive conveyor. The rolling assembly includes: an arm adapted to be driven between (i) a rolling position and (ii) a release position. A product turner is attached to the arm, such that in the rolling position, an end of the product turner extends into a conveying path of the drive conveyor.
Abstract: A substrate insertion system is configured for insertion of a substrate under a product being carried on a conveyor. A pre-perforated substrate and a method of inserting the pre-perforated substrates under products carried on a conveyor are also provided. Furthermore, a method is described including the construction and operation of a substrate insertion system.

Abstract: A folding-diverter assembly is provided to: selectively divert a substrate-product combination advancing from a first direction in a predetermined path based upon the substrate-product combination weighing a predetermined weight; advance the substrate-product combination in a second direction, opposite from the first direction; and fold a flap of the substrate-product combination partially over a top surface of the substrate-product combination. A semi-circular conveyor assembly is configured to advance the substrate-product combination in the second direction at a first portion of the semi-circular conveyor assembly, and along a semi-circular advancing path such that the substrate-product combination is advanced in the first direction at a second portion of the semi-circular conveyor assembly.

Abstract: A system and method for rolling planar food products that rest upon interleaving paper is provided. The system includes first and second conveyors, a rotating mechanism and a movement system. The rotating mechanism is normally disposed at a first position proximate to the end of the first conveyor such that a leading edge of planar dough that extends over the first conveyor falls with respect to the rotating mechanism. The controller urges rotation of the rotation mechanism as the leading edge extends with respect to the rotating mechanism and rotates until the planar food product is fully rolled about the rotation mechanism. The movement mechanism then translates the rotation mechanism to a position where it is aligned with the second conveyor.
