  • Patent number: 10252531
Abstract: A single-pass inkjet printer contains a track for guiding a printing medium in the Y direction, a plurality of printing head modules which are arranged one behind the other in the Y direction and a respective plurality of printing heads which extends in the X direction transversely over the track, and a printing region in which the printing head modules can be mounted in a respective printing position in an upright manner in the Z direction and in a reversibly insertable and removable manner along the Z direction. The single-pass inkjet printer further contains a storage region in which a number of printing head modules are mounted in a storage position in an upright manner substantially in the Z direction and in a reversibly insertable and removable manner along the Z direction. The printing heads of printing head modules set in the storage position are received in a protective cover.

  • Patent number: 10226950
Abstract: A print-head module for a single-pass inkjet printer contains a housing component with a transverse bracket which extends in the X-direction and on which a number of print heads are arranged which are adjusted positionally with respect to at least one reference position. A load-bearing frame with a supporting device is provided for supporting the load-bearing frame. The housing component is mounted on the load-bearing frame such that it swings about a pendulum axis. Furthermore, a single-pass inkjet printer has at least one print-head module of this type. The inkjet printer contains a frame construction with a support, on which the at least one print-head module is placed by use of the supporting device.

  • Patent number: 9346298
Abstract: A single-pass inkjet printer is specified with a running path for guiding a printing medium along a running direction and with a number of print-head modules which extend over the running path in a transverse direction. It is provided here that the print-head modules are arranged in each case such that they can be introduced, in a manner which is suspended and self-adjusting, substantially in a vertical direction into a printing position, in which they are fixed to the unit. A single-pass inkjet printer of this type affords the possibility of a simple manual exchange of print-head modules, as a result of which the down times are shortened.

  • Patent number: 8393704
Abstract: An inkjet printer has a print head with a number of ink ejecting nozzles that are driven by way of a control signal. The print head is calibrated near the time of the intended printing operation. A predefined calibration screen is printed with the inkjet printer, the value of a measurement parameter characterizing the ink application is determined on the basis of the printed calibration screen, and the ink ejection quantity per dot is calibrated. The calibration includes adapting the control signal using the determined value of the measurement parameter. A print product is printed by an inkjet printer that has been calibrated in this way.
