Abstract: A method and program for providing a collaboration service is provided. The method includes generating, by a service server, a project corresponding to a collaboration group, receiving, by the service server, card data from a user client in a main board in the project and generating, by the service server, a default card, the card data being information input to the project, receiving, by the service server, a request to input a label to the card data, connecting, by the service server, the card data to an expansion board corresponding to the label, and displaying, by the service server, card data connected by a specific label on the expansion board.
Abstract: A Bluetooth-enabled computing device includes a user interface for displaying a prompt to specify a descriptive identifier for a network device prior to performance of a Bluetooth Device Discovery Routine, the descriptive identifier being different from Bluetooth Device Discovery Routine Identifiers. A system memory has entries including descriptive identifiers, each descriptive identifier corresponding to a network device pre-configured with a connection profile. A connection manager determines if a specified descriptive identifier is a match to any entry in the system memory and to implements a connection to a network device corresponding to a matching entry. Otherwise the connection manager performs a discovery routine to locate and establish a connection to at least one available network device corresponding to the specified descriptive identifier.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling cellular reselection attempts on a computing device is disclosed. A computing device performs an automated process to repeatedly check the adequacy of the serving cell that it is currently assigned to. The computing device performs the check to determine whether it should perform a neighbor search and cell reselection. If the computing device determines the presence of particular conditions, it can perform the reselection by a default automated process. On the other hand, if the computing device determines criteria based, at least in part, on past instances, the computing device can modify the default automated process and skip attempts at performing neighbor search and cell reselections.
Abstract: A method and system for changing the power state of a portable electronic device is disclosed. A portable electronic device may be powered up or powered down responsive to a user interaction with the portable electronic device. The user interaction may be an insertion of a stylus or other user interface object into a housing of the portable electronic device. Alternatively, the user interaction may be a removal of a stylus or other user interface object from the housing of the portable electronic device. The user interaction may be a rotation of a cover of the portable electronic device.
Abstract: Techniques to dynamically manage wireless connections are described. For example, a mobile computing device may comprise a connection management module to dynamically select one of a plurality of switching technologies to initiate a connection with one or more target devices and automatically initiate the connection with the one or more target devices using the dynamically selected switching technology. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract: A system and method for crediting an account of a network access node includes receiving a data signal at a network access node, forwarding the data signal wirelessly to a network user node, and providing account crediting information to an accounting system. The account crediting information represents a credit to be recorded for an account associated with the network access node.

Abstract: A method for transmitting verified notification messages from a service provider to a PID (personal information device) user. The method includes the step of registering a plurality of users and providing each of the users with respective public and private encryption keys. A message is then received from a first user of the plurality of users. The received message is signed with the first user's private encryption key. A signature of the message is verified by using the first user's public encryption key. The authority of the first user to transmit notification messages is then verified. The message is then resigned with the second user's private encryption key and transmitted to at least a second user of the plurality of users, wherein the second user verifies the signature by using the second user's public encryption key.
Abstract: Techniques to dynamically manage wireless connections using feature prioritization are described. For example, a mobile computing device may comprise a connection management module operative to access a list of one or more wireless networks, compare feature set information for the one or more wireless networks, select a wireless network based on the comparison, and initiate a wireless connection using the selected wireless network, wherein the feature set information is contained in the list. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with updating firmware for a chip are described. One example method may include performing an external verification of updated firmware received and stored external to the chip to determine if the updated firmware is authentic. Upon determining that the updated firmware is authentic, the updated firmware is loaded into the chip. An internal verification of the updated firmware within the chip is performed to determine that the updated firmware is authentic. The internal verification is assured to succeed based on the external verification. Because the internal verification will succeed, the chip avoids reverting to a default firmware.
Abstract: A method of updating computer software includes identifying an orphaned computer file in a second version of computer software, the orphaned computer file having a name that does not correspond to any name of a computer file in a first version of computer software and computing symmetric divergence between the orphaned computer file and each computer file in the first version of computer software. The method also includes choosing a file from the computer files in the first version of computer software that yields a minimum value of symmetric divergence between the file and the orphaned computer file and using the file as a reference file for compressing the orphaned computer file.

Abstract: A mobile telephone with a camera, a casing, a display and a keypad for entering manual commands is disclosed. The camera is permanently attached to at least a part of the keypad in a subcomponent of the casing, wherein the subcomponent within a chassis of the casing is designed in such a way that it can be swiveled about at least one axis relative to the display, and the chassis at least partly surrounds the subcomponent.
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for device having a first and a second operating system communicatively coupled with each other. The first operating system is configured to manage a state of the mobile computing device, resources operable with the mobile computing device, and data management for the mobile computing device. The second operating system is a desktop-type operating system. In one embodiment, in response to coupling a docking station, the mobile computing device is configured to provide the second operating system access to peripherals. In addition, another embodiment the first operating system is configured to include an interface to access and execute applications executable through the second operating system.

Abstract: A data processing apparatus comprising a sensor and a context engine module. The sensor is configured to generate a sensor output signal representative of a value for one or more context aspects of the data processing apparatus and a confidence factor associated with each of the values for the one or more context aspects. The context engine module is configured to process the sensor output signal to generate and make available a final value for one or more context aspects of the data processing apparatus.

Abstract: Techniques to dynamically manage wireless connections using a coverage database are described. For example, a mobile computing device may comprise a connection management module operative to dynamically select a wireless connection technology based on a location of the mobile computing device and information from a coverage database, and to initiate a wireless connection using the selected wireless connection technology. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract: A dynamic performance circuit adjustment system and method that flexibly adjusts the performance of a logic circuit. The dynamic performance circuit adjustment system and method facilitates flexible power conservation. In one exemplary implementation, a dynamic performance adjustment control circuit controls performance adjustments to a logic circuit (e.g., a processor) and adjusts support functions for the logic circuit. The logic circuit performs operational functions (e.g., processing) or tasks that have different performance requirements. For example, some tasks performed by the logic circuit are required to be performed in a relatively short duration of time and other tasks performed by logic circuit have relatively longer time limitations.
