Abstract: A card connector for SIM cards and the like includes a base or housing and a cover that removably attaches to the base. A spring contact disposed within the base that engages a card during insertion and removal operations to provide controlled insertion and removal forces. The spring contact defines a base portion defining a first longitudinal end and an opposing second longitudinal end, a first resilient member extending above the base portion, a second resilient member extending above the base portion, and a third resilient member extending above the base portion.
