Abstract: A controller executes local generation and local consumption pathways of: supplying power from a solar cell to an appliance, and charging a storage cell with power that remains after subtracting power consumed by the appliance from the solar cell power. In the absence of excess power, the storage cell and solar cell supply power. Power supply from a commercial electrical grid covers a power shortage that remains after subtracting solar cell power and storage cell power from the power consumed by the appliance. The controller also executes a second excess power selling mode pathway wherein excess power flows into the commercial electrical grid, and an assist mode wherein all solar cell power flows into the commercial electrical grid, and storage cell power flows to the appliance.

Abstract: A stroboscope device can rotate a light emitting part about at least two axes by a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a drive gear that rotates by a drive force transmitted from a drive source, a sun gear engaged with the drive gear, a planet gear engaged with the sun gear, a support member that rotatably supports the sun gear and the planet gear and is oscillatable around a rotation axis of the sun gear, at least two drive systems for rotating the light emitting part about at least two axes, and a positioner for restricting oscillation of the support member in a releasable manner in a state that the planet gear is engaged with one of transmission gears. The drive systems are disposed such that their transmission gears engage with the planet gear at positions different from one another with oscillation of the support member.

  • Publication number: 20100273271
Abstract: A solution measurement method in which a specimen X stored in a capillary 8 is developed from the capillary 8 to the development layer of a test piece, and the amount of a substance to be measured in the specimen X is calculated by measuring the optical property of a predetermined portion to be measured, the method including: measuring the portion to be measured, in response to a reduction of the specimen X in the capillary 8 to a predetermined amount or less; and calculating the amount of the substance to be measured in the specimen X, based on the measured value. According to this method, it, is possible to detect that a certain amount of the specimen X has flown from the capillary 8 to the portion to be measured on the development layer.

  • Publication number: 20100159842
Abstract: A wireless distance measurement system and a wireless distance measurement method that measure the distance between a base station and a terminal without clock synchronization between a plurality of base stations, and without requiring input of the position relationships between a plurality of base stations. Clock phase shift section (210) shifts a clock that is used to generate transmission pulses is phase-shifted by a specific amount every 100 nanoseconds, and A/D conversion section (211) converts a signal re-radiated from terminal (103) to a digital signal using the shifted clock. Correlation calculation section (212) performs correlation calculation between the digital signal and the transmission pulse and creates a delay profile by adding digital signals in the shifted phases between same phases, and incoming wave detection section (213) detects peaks of the pulses in the delay profile.
