Patents Assigned to Panasonic Electric Works, Ltd.
  • Patent number: 8062765
Abstract: The inventors have conducted vigorous studies, and discovered as a result that it is possible to form a silver layer having a high reflectance of about 90 to 99% in a visible light area by setting a grain size of an outermost surface of a silver plated layer within a range of 0.5 ?m or more to 30 ?m or less.

  • Patent number: 7942783
Abstract: An exercise aid device has a hip supporting member movable relative to a base, footrests movable relative to the base, drive means for driving the hip supporting member, body constitution estimating unit for estimating at least one of fat mass and muscle mass of a user, and a controller for the drive means. The controller controls the drive means such that a load acting on a femoral region by own weight of the user supported on the hip supporting member changes according to a relative positional displacement between the user's toe and trochanter major, the positional displacement is allowed in a direction of flexion and extension of knee joint of the user, and an angle of the knee joint is maintained substantially constant. In addition, since the controller controls the drive means by use of an output of the body constitution estimating unit, it is possible to provide an exercise with less burden to the knee joint and a suitable strength for the user.

  • Patent number: 7511429
Abstract: An arc tube is provided for use in a high intensity discharge lamp. The arc tube is generally comprised of an elongated outer envelope defining two opposed ends and a cavity therebetween; an electrode sleeve protruding outwardly from each end of the outer envelope, such that each electrode sleeve has a passageway; and an electrical feedthrough member inserted into the passageway of the electrode sleeve, where the feedthrough member includes an inner rod that extends into the cavity of the arc tube and a ceramic sleeve encircling a portion of the inner rod disposed within the passageway. A sealing compound is disposed at an outwardly facing end of the passageway for sealing the feedthrough member to the electrode sleeve, such that the sealing compound extends into the passageway of the electrode sleeve but is spatially separated from the ceramic sleeve.

  • Patent number: 7464471
Abstract: In a reciprocation type electric shaver having an outside blade unit detachable from a main body, the outside blade unit comprises a main blade, a slit blade and an outside blade holder for holding the main blade and the slit blade capable of floating up and down. A coupling structure for coupling the slit blade on the outside blade holder has a retaining structure for engaging the slit blade and the outside blade holder in a lateral direction of the outside blade unit so as to prevent disengagement of the slit blade from the outside blade holder when the slit blade is floated up and down with inclination. The retaining structure is a pair of fitting recesses formed on the slit blade and a pair of fitting protrusions formed on the outside blade holder.
