Patents Assigned to Partek Corporation of Houston
  • Patent number: 4716924
Abstract: A replaceable discharge valve assembly for a high pressure reciprocating plunger pump including a generally tubular valve seat member having respective cylindrical portions insertable in cooperating valve chamber portions formed in the pump cylinder block. The seat member receives a reciprocating valve closure member having a plurality of radially projecting guide ribs and a closure member disc portion. The seat member and closure member are retained in the cylinder block valve chamber by a cover member which is threaded and includes a cylindrical portion of a third diameter engageable with the valve seat member for holding the valve seat member in the valve chamber.

  • Patent number: 4277229
Abstract: A high pressure fluid delivery system including an improved reciprocating pump is disclosed. The pump has a fluid cylinder block, with a stuffing box mounted on one side and a suction manifold on the other. A cylindrical passage extends into the fluid cylinder block from the stuffing box side of the block to receive a plunger which is mounted in the stuffing box. A cylindrical chamber, coaxial with the passage, extends from the passage to the suction manifold side of the fluid cylinder block. In the suction manifold, a suction port leads to the cylindrical chamber of the fluid cylinder block. The cylindrical chamber holds a suction valve, with a valve seat and a valve guide. A discharge valve and valve seat are provided in a cylindrical opening extending from the chamber to an outer wall of the fluid cylinder block. A plug or cover in the cylindrical opening holds the discharge valve elements in place and serves as a guide for the discharge valve.

  • Patent number: 3987963
Abstract: A high pressure fluid delivery system is disclosed in which a source of fluid is connected by a rotating mechanism to an elongated lance or a cleaning head each of which includes one or more outlet nozzles for providing a cleaning jet of fluid. The lance or spray head is rotated by the rotating mechanism to provide substantially complete cleaning of the inside of a tubular member. The rotating mechanism may also be connected between a hose reel and the fluid source to permit the payout of a hose from the reel to the fluid delivery apparatus of the system.

  • Patent number: 3986523
Abstract: A high pressure fluid system is disclosed which includes a novel valve assembly having a single, relatively small, but effective sealing area to permit sealing of the valve assembly by application of a relatively small sealing force. Various forms of manual and powered triggering mechanisms for operating the valve are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 3977603
Abstract: A high pressure fluid delivery system is disclosed in which two or more dump guns, each having a high pressure nozzle outlet and a low pressure dump outlet, may be connected to and operated from a single high pressure pump. Pressure responsive flow control apparatus is provided in the flow line between each gun and the pump to maintain a substantially constant load on the pump even though the dump guns are randomly operated. A motor control apparatus is also provided for controlling the speed of an engine driving the pump and this apparatus is connected to the pressure responsive control apparatus through a shuttle valve so that the engine idles when all of the guns are dumping, but automatically runs at a faster speed when one or more of the dump guns is actuated to provide a high pressure fluid blast.
