  • Patent number: 4179131
Abstract: A seal arrangement comprising three sealing rings. The first ring is intended to locate in a groove in a first machine element and has a bearing surface by which it is bearable against the base of the groove of the first machine element, and a surface spaced from its bearing surface. The second ring has a first bearing surface by which it is bearable against the spaced surface of the first ring, and a second bearing surface which is spaced from its first bearing surface, contactable with surface portions of a second machine element and has an annular groove. The third ring is intended to locate in the annular groove of the second sealing ring and has a first bearing surface by which it is bearable against a wall portion of the groove of the second sealing ring, and a second bearing surface which is spaced from its first bearing surface and which is bearable against the second machine element.

  • Patent number: 4111629
Abstract: Closing unit for an injection moulding machine or transfer moulding press with a frame, a first tool carrier rigidly connected therewith, a second displaceable tool carrier and hydraulic displacing devices, which are eccentrically arranged with respect to the tool carriers and of which each has a hollow cylinder fastened to the frame and a piston which is displaceably guided therein and of which each is provided on one side with a first shaft and on the other side with a second shaft. The first shafts are arranged such that they are drawn into the hollow cylinders when the tool carriers are brought nearer to each other, and wherein one each of the two shafts of the pistons is connected rigid with the second tool carrier. According to the invention, at least two pistons are provided, the first shaft of which has a smaller diameter than its second shaft, and there are also provided at least two pistons, the first shaft of which displays a greater diameter than its second shaft.

  • Patent number: 4005641
Abstract: An apparatus for selectively moving, for instance alternately or simultaneously rotating and displacing in axial direction, a machine element mounted to be rotatable and axially displaceable, comprising a motor, a hollow cylinder and a piston displaceable in said hollow cylinder. The piston is provided with a connection element for rigidly connecting it with the machine element. The piston also has a lengthwise extending opening which is sealed towards the outside at the side of the connection element and at the other end there extends into said lengthwise extending opening a drive shaft connected with said motor. This drive shaft at the side of the connection element has an end which together with the inner surface of the piston forms a first sealing section forming a sealed sliding seat, said drive shaft at the region of its end connected with the motor possessing a second sealing section which together with the hollow cylinder or an element rigidly connected therewith forms a tightly closing sliding seat.
