Abstract: Circuit for regulating a current applied to an electrical load, comprising a compensation unit comprising a temperature sensor and providing an electrical signal at an output, the electrical signal depending on the current applied to the electrical load and on a temperature measured by the temperature sensor, a reference unit providing a reference electrical signal, and a control unit regulating the current applied to the electrical load depending on a difference between the electrical reference signal and the electrical signal provided at the output of the compensation unit.
Abstract: The lamp comprises a discharge vessel (2) which is closed off in a vacuum-tight manner and is arranged in an outer bulb (12), a getter material being held on a support body inside the outer bulb (12). The support body is a support strip (31) to which the getter material is applied, the support strip being bent in such a way that it is automatically held in the outer bulb (12) without the need for any auxiliary means.

Abstract: The electrode comprises a pin-like shank (7) and a head part (8), the electrode, in the region of its discharge-side end, forming a vessel (9) for an emitter, in which there is a bore (16) which is filled with emitter material (10). The vessel, at its discharge-side end face, forms a collar, having an inner collar part (13) which is curved convexly toward the bore and an outer collar part (14) which is curved convexly toward the side wall of the vessel.

Abstract: To provide a melt glass (10) to seal capillary spaces (9) surrounding external current supply leads (8) of molybdenum passing to molybdenum foils (6) in a pinch or press seal (7) of a high temperature, for example incandescent halogen lamp, the melt glass (10) is made of 3-10% Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3, 25%-40% B.sub.2 O.sub.3, remainder PbO. The melt glass has low toxicity and is molybdenum-compatible. An additive of barium oxide, in up to 15% and preferably up to only about 10%, may be added to the PbO. All quantities in mol-percent.
