Publication number: 20150169089Abstract: A protection film for a touch sensitive screen includes an adhesive substrate cut according to a shape of the touch sensitive screen. The adhesive substrate is disposed over a temporary liner. The adhesive substrate is transparent. A transparent polymer material is dispensed over the adhesive substrate. The transparent polymer material includes a flat surface formed by nature of the transparent polymer material flowing due to gravity and a convex edge formed by nature of a surface tension of the transparent polymer material. A coating is formed over the transparent polymer material. The transparent polymer material is cured. The temporary liner is removed after curing the transparent polymer material, and the protection film is attached to the touch sensitive screen. The protection film includes a thickness ranging from 0.2 millimeters (mm) to 1.5 mm. The touch sensitive screen remains functional with the protective film attached to the touch sensitive screen.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2013Publication date: June 18, 2015Applicant: Pedco, LLCInventors: Patrick L. Patent number: 4724777Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for combustion of diverse materials, particularly combustible solids, liquids or gases, such as sewage sludge, refuse, coal, refinery sludge, tar sands, coal shale, coal tailings and spent foundry sand. A rotary combustion apparatus is employed which consists of a cylindrical drum, or other similar regularly shaped chamber, with a substantially horizontal axis of rotation including an ignition zone, a principal combustion zone, a falling temperature zone and a spent solids removal zone. The apparatus further includes solids transport chutes for forward and backward circulation of solids, arranged for the transfer of solids to or from one or more points. Feedstock may also be heated by recycled hot solids. The method and apparatus employs direct solids-to-gas contact established by lifting and cascading combustible solids through a hot gas stream.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1986Date of Patent: February 16, 1988Assignee: Pedco, Inc.Inventors: Leland M. Reed, William A. Reed, Walter C. Saeman

Patent number: 4563246Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for retorting particulate solid materials, particularly hydrocarbon-containing materials such as oil shale, oil sands, tar sands, coal shale, coal tailings, and the like, for the recovery of a volatile constituent such as oil or gas. A rotary retorting apparatus is employed which consists of a cylindrical drum, or other similar regularly shaped chamber, with a substantially horizontal axis of rotation and having multiple compartments for retorting and combustion and, optionally, spent solids cooling. The apparatus further includes solids transport chutes for forward and backward circulation of solids, arranged for the intercompartmental transfer of solids with the capability of additions at one or more points in each compartment. Employing the method and apparatus, particulate solids feedstock is heated by recycled spent solids material to remove the volatile constituent of the feedstock in the retort section.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 1984Date of Patent: January 7, 1986Assignee: PEDCo, Inc.Inventors: Leland M. Patent number: 4439032Abstract: A portable camera support includes a conventional camera mounting assembly affixed to a stationary leg/securing strap/extendible leg combination. The support is alternately operable in a retracted position for securing to a companion object with the aid of the securing strap or an extended position for independently supporting a camera. The extendible legs are pivotally mounted to the stationary leg and preferably include means for stopping their inward and outward rotation.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1982Date of Patent: March 27, 1984Assignee: PEDCOInventor: Jon M. Patent number: 4238515Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel physical form of gluten to be utilized as a self-binder for meat-like products excluding the need of egg albumen. The novel physical form contains an inert material bound within its matrix and is characterized by its net-like fibrous structure, which fibers have a diameter smaller than 2 mm diameter and a viscosity of at least 50,000 cps.The novel physical form of gluten is obtained by agitating vital wheat gluten with a reducing agent at a temperature below 70.degree. C. and incorporating during said agitation the solid inert material having a particle size below 5 cm diameter. A preferred type of said inert material is textured vegetable protein. The product obtained according to the invention can be successfully utilized in meat industry, enhancing the binding properties of the meat and improving its texture as an extender.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 1979Date of Patent: December 9, 1980Assignee: Pedco Proteins and Enzymes Development Co.
