Abstract: In a data outputting device, data to be outputted is digitally stored in a memory and is read out when addressed over a predetermined period in a time division multiplex mode with addresses which are provided by a counter in such a manner that the number thereof of addresses provided per predetermined time period corresponds to the number of channels employed, and the data thus read out with the addresses are selected for the channels by a selection circuit, respectively, so that they are outputted separately according to the channels.
Abstract: A microwave bandpass filter having a wide bandwidth, low loss, and yet which requires only a relatively small circuit area. A generally annularly shaped unit-wavelength resonator is formed on a dielectric substrate, disposed between input and output matching circuits. The unit-wavelength resonator is formed by a pair of semi-annular strips disposed opposite one another and having opposing stubs defining therebetween a gap of predetermined width.
Abstract: An audience data rating collecting system and method which are capable of collecting television audience rating data automatically within a short period of time. A broadcasting station transmits over the air a marker signal. The marker signal is received by terminal units associated with selected subscribers' television receivers. Upon reception of the market signal, and after waiting a period of time necessary for other terminal units within the system to transmit their data back to the station, each terminal unit automatically dials a predetermined telephone number at the broadcasting station. Once the broadcasting station has had time to automatically answer, data from that terminal unit representative of the channel then being viewed is transmitted over the telephone circuit to the broadcasting station. After all terminal units have called in, the results are tabulated.
Abstract: A mode control device for a cassette tape recorder in which operational functions are combined with a small number of operational buttons or keys. A slidably-mounted electric source operation lever operates an electric source switch and also is slidable to a position causing the ejection of a tape cassette. A slidably-mounted function lever operates in conjunction with the electric source operation lever to change a tape drive between recording, stop, playback and rewinding modes with the function lever being prevented from operating during the OFF state of the electric source operation lever. When the electric source operation lever is at an ON position and the function lever is in a stop mode position, a magnetic recording and erase head and a pinch roller are in a position close to their respective contact positions so that the required manual force for moving to the recording or playback modes is quite small.
Abstract: A message received through a telephone line is recorded by a tape recorder associated therewith in which a time instance at which the recording is started is memorized together with a specific count of pulses produced in synchronism with a transportation of the tape. When the message is to be reproduced, the specific count is compared with a current count and when the two coincide with each other the memorized time instance is indicated.
