The additional information is defined by the first subscriber's station and is transmitted to the second subscriber station before or during the call process. The additional information is output on the second subscriber's station in the form of a signal for indicating the call.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the transmission of additional information in a communication system, whereby a first user (A) in a communication system establishes a communication context for a second user (B) in the communication system, and, during the establishment of the communication context, additional information, for example, in the form of adverts, are connected and transmitted to the second user. The adverts sent during call establishment are used to finance the communication connections. The additional information is sent from an additional information device. An exchange device, a communication system and user stations are embodied for carrying out said method. The users can exchange multimedia data as electronic cards.
