    Abstract: A molding apparatus includes: a die provided with a die recessed portion; a core being relatively movable toward a first side and a second side in an axial direction of the die, and forming a flow passage for molten resin between the core and the die; a slider housed in the die recessed portion, having a gap in the die radial direction between the slider and the die recessed portion, the slider being slidable in the die axial direction; and a wall portion forming part of an inner wall in the die radial direction of the die recessed portion, positioned to oppose the core, and extending in such a way that a thickness of the wall portion gradually decreases heading from the first side toward the second side; wherein the wall portion is elastically flexible outward in the die radial direction in a case in which the wall portion is pushed by the molten resin.

An airtight vacuum chamber connected to the vacuum pump is mounted on an outer portion of the vent hole.

    Abstract: A blow-molding apparatus for molding hollow articles is disclosed, which comprises a base member, and a platform mounted thereon. An extruder is provided which has a nozzle located above the platform. Bearings are attached to the upper surface of the platform, and support a shaft. A mold opening/closing device is pivotable mounted on the shaft, and comprises a main body, a pair of mold halves supported by the main body, and a mold-moving unit for moving the molds toward and away from each other. The apparatus further comprises a device for rotating the mold opening/closing device around the shaft, thereby to incline the device at an angle, within a predetermined range, to the horizontal plane. Thus, both mold halves can be inclined, thereby forming an inclined cavity when they are clamped together. A parison can be supplied smoothly from the nozzle into the inclined cavity, under its own weight.

    Abstract: In the manufacture of an inflation film for forming a thermoplastic resin having a melt tension of not more than 4 g into a tubular bubble, a tubular bubble extruded from an extruding nozzle is cooled from the inner circumferential surface thereof by air supplied from a first air supply opening. The outer circumferential surface of the bubble is cooled with air from a first external air-cooling ring arranged at the outside of the bubble. The first air-cooling ring has a guide plate for guiding the bubble, a second air supply opening for supplying air between the guide plate and the bubble from an inlet port arranged at the lower end of the guide plate, and a third air supply opening for supplying air to the bubble from an outlet port arranged at the upper end of the guide plate. The bubble which is cooled by the first external air-cooling ring is further cooled by the air supplied from a second external air-cooling ring. The bubble is solidified.
