Abstract: A system and method of communicating patient data over an interconnected computer data network, including loading instructions from a predetermined instruction set for the encryption and decryption of patient data onto a patient mobile communication device where the patient data to be encrypted for including in the secure data communication is exclusive of direct patient identifiers; loading instructions from the predetermined instruction set onto the patient mobile communication device for connecting to a transient data store which resides within the interconnected computer data network intermediate the patient mobile communication device and a clinic having a local data management hub; providing a secure communication of data that includes the encrypted patient data between the patient mobile communication device and the clinic wherein both the patient mobile communication device and the local data management hub of the clinic only transmit or receive data by subscription with the transient data store.

There is also a method of releasably retaining a first portion with a second portion of a mounted electronic device, the method including the steps of: locating the first portion in non-contacting proximity to the second portion of the electronic device such that at least one magnet located in one of the first or second portions exerts attractive force on at least one ferrous component of the other of the first or second portions such that the magnetic force guides the first portion into self-aligning contact with the second portion.
