Abstract: A fastening device is provided to be inserted in an article to be fastened, the fastening device comprising a first member (10) having a shank (12) and an enlarged head (14), a second member (11) also having a shank (17) and an enlarged head (18), the shanks being respectively insertable into the hole in the article from opposite ends of the hole, the shanks being arranged to interengage with one another, such that the shanks are restrained against moving in the reverse direction, so that the article is held between the enlarged heads (14 and 18). The fastening device is particularly useful in constructing a plastics pallet.
