The mold of the invention for use in injection molding the fossilized plaque includes several different types of mold inserts that can be positioned within the mold cavity so as to produce fossil-like designs within the body of the plaque of various shapes such as the shape of a golfer, a bowler, a basketball player and other types of athletic figures.
