  • Publication number: 20230054335
Abstract: There is provided a method of making a fluidic system that comprises assembling a fluidic system comprising a first plate, a second plate and a membrane disposed between the first plate and the second plate; applying laser energy to the fluidic system to cause the first plate, the second plate and the membrane to melt at bonding areas; and allowing the bonding areas to cool down such that the first plate, the second plate and the membrane are bonded together.

  • Publication number: 20200138868
Abstract: Methods for producing megakaryocytes and platelets derived from inducible pluripotent stem cells are provided. Such megakaryocytes or platelets can be genetically modified to comprise a nucleic acid molecule encoding a therapeutic agent. The present disclosure further provides methods and compositions for loading a platelet or a megakaryocyte with a therapeutic agent and for genetically modifying a platelet or a megakaryocyte to express an agent.

  • Publication number: 20200017812
Abstract: A bioreactor including a bioreactor body, wherein the bioreactor body includes a first substrate and an opposing second substrate, a pathway extending through the bioreactor body and being formed by a first channel defined in the first substrate and an opposing second channel defined in the second substrate, a first inlet for introducing a first fluid flow to the first channel, a second inlet for introducing a second fluid flow to the second channel, a first outlet for permitting the first fluid flow to exit the first channel, a second outlet for permitting the second fluid flow to exit the second channel, a membrane disposed in the pathway between the first and second channels and having a plurality of pores sized to selectively capture, in the first channel, a biological source material and to permit biological products to be collected from the bioreactor.
