Abstract: Disclosed is a safety coupling assembly (100) for connecting segments of a conduit, such as a hose or a flexible pipe. The safety coupling assembly comprises a female member (50) and a male member (10), which are held together by spring operated toggle latches (70A,70B). The force required for connecting the female member with the male member of the safety coupling assembly can be selected independent from the force required for disconnecting the male member form the female member.
Abstract: An air filtering device and a method of producing the device. The device is constructed from a number of modules of a first module type (4) and a second module type (6), which are arranged in series in a row. A module of the first module type (4) is arranged as an inlet module (4) with inlets (42), which is connected in series to modules (8, 10: 16) of the second module type (6). One of the latter may include a fan element (18) or one or more filter elements (12, 14), and one of them is arranged as an outlet module (16) and others as through-flow modules (8, 10). The modules are joined together by locking members (32) arranged in each module, in such a way that the modules create an enclosed air duct (4, 8, 10, 16).
Abstract: A telescopic extraction arm (1), having an outer tube (4) and an inner tube (6) displaceably and rotatably fitted therein. Via balancing rings (14, 16) fixed on each tube respectively, which are kept a pre-determinable distance apart by a stop member (18) arranged in the outer tube (4), the tubes can be easily displaced and locked in relation to one another with a negligible degree of the “drawer effect” occurring in conventional telescopic arrangements.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an extracting system for exhaust gases from motor vehicles (5), which is provided with a winch (16) for the transportation of a carriage (2) along an extraction channel (1) and the winding up of a hose (14) to a rest position. The winch has only one line (24) which is arranged to run freely through the extraction channel and through control means (26, 28) and coupling means (35)in the carriage. By this means it is possible to hoist up the hose (14) with the use of just one line for the winding and to secure the hose in its rest position and move the carriage (2) from an end position (6) to a start position (4) by means of said line.
Abstract: A device for removal of deleterious impurities from room atmosphere comprises an exhaust hood, a means for delivery of inflow air into the emission zone of deleterious impurities and incorporates slotted nozzles arranged around the perimeter of the hood and oriented towards the source of deleterious impurities, and an apparatus for distributing air from the delivery air duct to the slotted nozzles. The air-distributing apparatus has the form of a distributing chamber disposed in the central part of the hood, communicating with the delivery air duct and provided with pressure branch pipes, one per slotted nozzle, connected, each,;with the corresponding nozzle at the point equidistant from the ends of said nozzle. In a preferable embodiment the nozzles are provided with cellular attachments and the slot width "b" of each nozzle complies with the following ratio: ##EQU1## where b--nozzle width, m;F--cross-sectional area of hood, sq.m;P--hood perimeter, m;H--height of hood above source of deleterious impurities.
