Patent number: 4165867Abstract: An installation for nitriding-sulphiding of steel and cast-iron articles including an enclosed tank, and a retort containing sulphur and placed in the interior of the tank. The retort is surrounded with a heating device. The tank is provided at its top with two pipe connectors. One connector is connected with the container of ammonia and the other connector is connected with the furnace for chemical and heat treatment of the articles. The ammonia flows from its container to the tank with a retort containing sulphur, wherefrom after being mixed with the vapors of sulphur, it flows out to the furnace in which the articles to be treated are placed. In the furnace at a temperature of 400.degree.-700.degree. C., the nitrogen and sulphur diffuse to the surface layer of the treated articles, thus producing the required sulphides in the nitrided layer.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1977Date of Patent: August 28, 1979Assignees: Politechnika Lodzka, Lubuskie Zaklady TermotechniczneInventors: Zdzislaw Has, Jerzy Gramsz, Wojciech Jarosz, Piotr Jaremczuk, Stanislaw Bruszewski, Krzysztof Koczela

Patent number: 4136206Abstract: A method for obtaining a smoking agent from smoke condensate obtained from the destructive distillation of cellulose or lignin material comprising subjecting the smoke condensate to extraction by an aqueous solution of a mineral acid to remove organic bases or with a mineral acid which does not decompose at temperatures up to 250.degree. C, in order to bind the bases. The product is then subjected to distillation under reduced pressure in an atmosphere of an inert gas with the addition of metallic dusts and in a second stage of distillation with the addition of a polyhydric alcohol. The obtained smoking agent from the distillation can be subjected to selective absorption of ballast or undesirable substances by passage through suitable adsorbents. In a modification the two stage distillation preceeds the extraction and in a further modification the active substances are first extracted with an organic solvent and then subjected to distillation under reduced pressure.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1977Date of Patent: January 23, 1979Assignee: Politechnika Lodzka, Instytut Brzemyuslu MiesnegoInventors: Janusz Kulesza, Kazimierz Miler, Jerzy Podlejski, Jozef Gora, Teresa Czajkowska, Zbigniew Kozlowski, Jadwiga Kolska, Jolanta Stolowska, Zygmunt Rutkowski

Patent number: 3944407Abstract: Apparatus for gas dehumidization especially for gases where the diameters of the droplets are smaller than 10 micrometers. Layers of vertically arranged blades protrude from a tubular surface coaxial with a housing, and are shaped along an involute line with equal pitch. On the blades rests a cover with a cone having its vertex directed towards the gas inlet. A stream of gas to be dehumidified is introduced into the interior of the plant and directed through the cone radially into passages between the blades where due to the momentum transverse to the gas streams, the liquid droplets become separated from the gas.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1974Date of Patent: March 16, 1976Assignee: Politechnika LodzkaInventor: Jak Kwasniak
