Patents Assigned to PopPack, LLC
  • Patent number: 11724866
Abstract: A package and a method for producing the packages are provided. The packages may comprise an enclosure configured to receive at least one product, the enclosure being sealed from the surrounding environment by two tab areas, one tab area formed at one side of the enclosure and the other tab area formed at the opposite side of the enclosure. The two tab areas are formed by selectively sealing two opposing films, each of the two tab areas comprising at least one breachable bubble configured to be breached upon application of pressure by a user, separating a sealed portion of the two films that form the surrounding tab area, allowing access to the enclosure from either or both sides of the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 11383909
Abstract: A package or container is disclosed that includes an opening device in conjunction with a self-sealing valve for facilitating opening of the package and for dispensing fluids in a controlled manner. In one embodiment, the opening device can comprise a breachable bubble. The breachable bubble can be in communication with a fluid channel that operates in conjunction with the self-sealing valve. The package can include a folded portion for sealing the fluid channel and allowing the bubble to be breached when a user applies pressure. Once the bubble is breached, the folded portion can be unfolded for dispensing a fluid.

  • Patent number: 11066221
Abstract: A package and method for opening the package are disclosed. The package includes a first film and a second film forming an enclosure and at least one tab area and defining a package periphery, the enclosure defining an interior volume configured to receive a product. The package further includes first and second breachable bubbles formed within first and second tab portions of the at least one tab area. Upon application of pressure by a user, the first and second breachable bubbles breach. The package may be alternated between a first position, wherein the first tab portion and the second tab portion are substantially sealed from each other to facilitate breaching, and a second position, wherein the first tab portion and the second tab portion are in fluid communication with each other.

  • Patent number: 10836518
Abstract: A rigid holding container has a flexible cover sheet extending over the holding area for sealing the contents. The container has a wide, flat perimeter lip which provides a firm base for the seal between the cover sheet and the container. A breaching bubble is formed in the seal, under the cover and over the perimeter lip. The consumer breaches the bubble by pressing the bubble against the lip between the thumb and forefinger. The pressure compresses the air in the bubble causing the bubble to expand laterally. The expanding bubble breaches along the perimeter of the lip, producing a peel flap of flexible cover material. The consumer pulls the peel flap while holding the rigid container down, to remove the cover sheet.

  • Patent number: 9802745
Abstract: A container for dispensing various compositions includes a pourable spout located within a breachable bubble. In one embodiment, for instance, the container can be made from flexible polymer films. The container can include a sealed perimeter that defines an opening where a pourable spout is located. A locking bubble can be located over the opening for preventing liquids from being dispensed from the container prior to opening the bubble. When it is desired to dispense the container, the bubble can be breached which therefore allows the contents of the container to be dispensed through the opening.

  • Patent number: 9365339
Abstract: A package and a process for forming the package are provided. The process may include providing a first flexible polymer film and a second flexible polymer film, sealing the first film and the second film together to form an enclosure and at least one tab area, and trapping fluid within a discrete portion of the tab area to form a breachable bubble. The enclosure may define an interior volume configured to receive a consumer product. Fluid trapped within a discrete portion of the tab area to form a breachable bubble may be sufficient to cause the bubble to breach upon application of minimal pressure by a user, separating a sealed portion of the first film from the second film.

  • Publication number: 20140294324
Abstract: Apparatus 10 has breachable flow conduit 12 for discharging stored fluid 12F contained in storage chamber 10C out to the ambient. Chamber access region 10R is positioned proximate perimeter 10P of the apparatus. The breachable flow conduit is within the access region, and has an inner end 12C proximate the storage chamber and an outer end 12P proximate the perimeter of the apparatus. The flow conduit has outer pressed seal 14P between the outer end of the flow conduit and the perimeter of the apparatus. The flow conduit also has inner pressed seal 14C between the inner end of the flow conduit and the edge of the storage chamber. The flow conduit expands towards the perimeter of the apparatus under external pressure, typically applied by the consumer. The pressure causes the flow conduit to breach at the perimeter of the apparatus. The flow conduit also expands towards the storage chamber. The pressure causes the flow conduit to breach at the edge of the storage chamber.

  • Patent number: 8328017
Abstract: Breachable product container 10 is formed by first lamina 10B and opposed second lamina 10C selectively pressed together. Perimeter seal 10S extends around the perimeter of the container. Product chamber 12P and inflatable breaching bubble 12 are between the selectively pressed opposed laminae, within the perimeter seal. Product 16 is contained within the product chamber. Inner divider 14D extends between the product chamber and the breaching bubble. Transfer passage 14 through the inner divider permits inflation of the breaching bubble in response to moderate pressure applied to the product chamber during an extended inflation period. Breaching edge 12E forms part of the perimeter seal around the breaching bubble. The breaching edge provides an edge breach by separating the opposed laminae along the breaching edge in response to substantial pressure applied to the breaching bubble during a brief breaching period.

  • Patent number: 8181818
Abstract: Secure product container 10 has opposed closure shells 10P and 10A forming product chamber 10C. The shells may be separated into an open accessible state (see FIG. 1A), in which the closure shells are uncaptured and product 10G is accessible. The closure shells may be placed together in a closed state along closure interface 12C (see FIG. 1B), in which the closure shells are captured to enclose the product. A closure capture between the closure shells holds the shells in the closed state. Closure capture 26 has a secured condition (see FIG. 2B) in which the closure shells are captured together in the closed state, and a released condition (see FIG. 2A) in which the closure shells may be uncaptured in the accessible state. Capture release device 12 on active shell 10A is pressure responsive for releasing the closure capture from the secured condition into the released condition when pressurized.

  • Patent number: 7909165
Abstract: System 10 delivers specified medication(s) 10M of a specified dosage in a specified sequence (see FIG. 1A). Flexible cover lamina 12C is pressed into selective engagement base lamina 12B defining a series of sequential storage units 10X and 10Y and 10Z with frangible seal 14F (no hatching) and destruct seal 14D (double hatching). Sealed medication chamber 16M is proximate the destruct seal within each storage unit. Chamber access region 16R is proximate the frangible seal within each storage unit. Diagonal chamber seal 14S (single hatching) extends across each storage unit. Breachable bubble 16B is positioned within each chamber access region and expands under applied pressure towards the frangible seal of the storage unit (see FIGS. 1A and 1B). The expansion separates the opposed laminae until the bubble produces perimeter breach 12P (see FIG. 1C) in the frangible seal. Flexible peel flap 14C is formed by the flexible cover lamina along the breached frangible seal as the bubble breaches.
