Abstract: A multi-layer filter fabric includes a first layer that includes a first non-woven fabric and a second layer that includes a second non-woven fabric. Each layer may include multiple webs. The first and second layers have different median pores sizes and porosities, with the first layer having a larger median pore size and/or porosity than the second layer. The first and second layers may be separated by a scrim. The first and second layers are colored or have visible markings such that the first and second layers are readily distinguished from each other. The multi-layer filter fabric is arranged so that a fluid may enter the multi-layer filter fabric through the first layer and exit through the second layer.

  • Patent number: 9854849
Abstract: A stretchable shirt collar includes an inner collar band and an outer collar band. The inner collar band includes an exposed layer and a hidden layer. A stretchable inner collar interlining is disposed intermediate the exposed layer and the hidden layer of the inner collar band, and is fused to the exposed layer. The outer collar band includes an exposed layer and a hidden layer. A stretchable outer collar interlining is disposed intermediate the exposed layer and the hidden layer of the outer collar band, and is fused to the exposed layer. The stretchable inner collar interlining and the stretchable outer collar interlining comprise a layer of knit interlock fabric laminated to a layer of stretchable film adhesive. The elements of the stretchable shirt collars are sewn together with stretchable thread.

  • Patent number: 9469935
Abstract: A high-loft fabric fire barrier is constructed with a substrate comprised of a blend of non-woven flame retardant cellulosic fibers and thermoplastic polymeric fibers, and a layer of nanoclay material extending along and integrated with at least one of opposite surfaces of the substrate, and preferably along both of the opposite surfaces. The fire barrier is incorporated into the construction of upholstered or cushioned items and, in particular, into a mattress.

  • Publication number: 20120137434
Abstract: A mattress encasement and method protect against the migration of bed bugs into and out of a mattress. The mattress is encased within encasement members constructed of a material resistant to the migration of bed bugs through the material. The encasement members are joined together along perimetric edges by the engagement of a zipper provided with a peripheral length greater than a perimetric length of each perimetric edge. With the zipper engaged fully along its peripheral length, the difference between the peripheral length of the zipper and the perimetric lengths overlaps an inner segment of the zipper adjacent one terminal end of the zipper with an outer segment of the zipper adjacent the other terminal end of the zipper, to complete a barrier against the migration of bed bugs into and out of the encased mattress through either one of the terminal ends of the zipper.
