Abstract: A wall-mounting bracket is described that includes a base comprising a base body and a cover detachably attachable to the base body. The base body includes a back plate configured to be positioned against a wall; a first bend and a second bend defining a first recess for receiving a first side of a decorative item to be secured to the wall, defining a first lip for retaining the first side of the decorative item; a third bend and a fourth bend defining a second recess for receiving a second side of the decorative item to be secured to the wall, defining a second lip for retaining the second side of the decorative item, where the second recess is perpendicular to the first recess; and an aperture in the back plate having a recessed lip through which a mounting device may be positioned.
