Patent number: 8298758Abstract: The present invention is to provide a multiple detection method that can detect contaminating microorganisms existing in foods, including pathogenic Escherichia coli O157, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella spp., with high sensitivity comparable or even superior to official methods, comprising the steps of amplifying a plural number of target genes with a single PCR reaction tube and analyzing the same. The following steps are performed consecutively: (A) a step of extracting DNA of the target microorganisms to be detected by treating with at least a lytic enzyme such as Achromopepidase and Lysozyme and/or bacteriocin having lytic activity such as Enterolysine, a surfactant and a protein denaturing agent; and (B) a step of mixing a specific primer to the target microorganisms to be detected to perform multiplex PCR. Further, it is preferable to add a step of culturing with a culture condition where 1 CFU/100 g microorganisms becomes 10.sup.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2004Date of Patent: October 30, 2012Assignees: Prima Meat Packers, Ltd., National Agriculture and Food Research OrganizationInventors: Naoko Horikoshi, Susumu Kawasaki, Yukio Okada, Kazuko Takeshita, Takashi Sameshima, Shinichi Kawamoto, Kenji Isshiki

Patent number: 6386099Abstract: A continuous high-speed pickle injector is provided with improved productivity that can inject a liquid substance such as brine for curing, seasoning or the like into a block of meat such as pork, beef, livestock meat and the like continuously, and disperse the liquid substance uniformly. A pickle injector which can inject a liquid substance such as brine for curing and the like into a block of meat being conveyed continuously while gradually raising the injection pressure from 0 or a low pressure includes two or more injecting sections being able to repeat an injecting operation, that is, from the start to the completion of the injection of a liquid substance. The two or more injecting sections inject a liquid substance while moving at a speed synchronized with the conveying speed of a block of meat continuously being conveyed during the operation of injection. The timing of the injecting operation for each injecting section is controlled.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2001Date of Patent: May 14, 2002Assignee: Prima Meat Packers, Ltd.Inventors: Shoji Otsuka, Shinji Samusawa, Takayuki Takahashi, Shigeaki Watanabe

Patent number: 6165528Abstract: Providing a method of injection into meat in which brine for curing or seasoning liquid is uniformly dispersed in a green meat efficiently and continuously without deteriorating a meat property; curing and seasoning can be accomplished without using a tumbling machine, a massage machine or the like for a long time; and the brine for curing and the seasoning liquid can be uniformly dispersed even if there is a difference of injection resistance in meat property. This can be achieved by using a pickle injector which is provided with a high-pressure liquid generator constituted of a plunger pump or the like, a coherent stream injection nozzle for injecting the brine for curing and a pressure control mechanism which can raise an injection pressure gradually from zero or a low pressure while injecting the liquid substance when the brine for curing is injected from the nozzle to the green meat.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1999Date of Patent: December 26, 2000Assignee: Prima Meat Packers, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshihiko Tanaka, Takashi Tsuzuku, Akihiro Suzuki

Patent number: 5229679Abstract: A microdrive apparatus of a micromanipulator according to the present invention is such that a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element having an inertial member mounted at its tip is attached to a moving member supported on a frictional surface of a support member, and a miniature instrument for manipulation is attached to the moving member. By applying an electric field to the piezoelectric/electrostrictive element, the miniature instrument for manipulation is controlled for fine movement by utilizing this kinetic energy, the inertial effect of the inertial member, and the reaction force acting upon the moving member. In addition, the miniature instrument for manipulation can be controlled to assume a predetermined position and predetermined attitude by a micropositioning device having an articulated portion in which an inertial member is attached to an arm via a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1991Date of Patent: July 20, 1993Assignee: Prima Meat Packers, Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Higuchi, Ken-ichi Kudoh, Atsushi Mimatsu

Patent number: 5225750Abstract: A microinjection apparatus according to the invention includes a microsyringe having a plunger, a rotative moving member which rotates together with a shaft, and a micromovement device mounted on the rotative moving member and having a piezoelectric/electro-strictive element equipped with an inertial member. Applying an electric signal to the micromovement device produces a driving force which causes the rotative moving member to rotate by a minute amount. As a result, the plunger is moved a minute amount in the axial direction to move a liquid within the microsyringe. Also provided is a microinjection apparatus which includes a microsyringe having an internal rotary plate serving as a plunger and attached to a center shaft, a rotative moving member which rotates together with the center shaft, and a micromovement device mounted on the rotative moving member and having a piezoelectric/electro-strictive element equipped with an inertial member.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1990Date of Patent: July 6, 1993Assignee: Prima Meat Packers, Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Higuchi, Ken-ichi Kudoh, Atsushi Mimatsu, Hisao Ueno

Patent number: 4796411Abstract: A method of packaging food in raised state, comprising the steps of forming a displaceable wall portion integrally with and in the central section of a bottom wall of a food container so that the wall portion can be projected into and out of the container when the wall portion is pressed inward and outward, inserting a food in the container with the wall portion kept projecting outward, sealing the container with a film, and pressing the wall portion so as to be projected into the container and thereby raise the food above the plane of the upper end of the container against the tension of the film. Since the food is placed in the container with the displaceable wall portion kept projecting outward, the falling of the food during the food packing operation can be prevented.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1987Date of Patent: January 10, 1989Assignee: Prima Meat Packers, Ltd.
