Abstract: The present disclosure is a method of removing contaminants from a feed stream comprising said contaminants and process liquid by bringing the feed stream into contact with a heated heating fluid in or in proximity to a separation vessel thereby causing process liquid to vaporise and flow out of the separation vessel as vapour, after which it can be recovered. Embodiments of the method may include using a heavy heating fluid whose density is higher than that of the feed stream and/or vigorously agitating the pool of heating fluid in the separation vessel.

Abstract: The method relates generally to a filtration and liquid displacement method for separating valuable or harmful liquids, herein termed Process Liquid, from mixtures or slurries that contain such liquids and solid particles. The method employs upflow filtration, operation of SAP Means and use of a Sweep Liquid that has a higher density than the Process Liquid.
Abstract: This invention relates generally to a filtration process and apparatus for separating valuable or harmful process liquids from mixtures or slurries that contain such liquids and solid particles. In particular, the invention relates to a filtration process for separating Process Liquid from a feed slurry that comprises a mixture of the Process Liquid and solid particles, the process employing a Sweep Liquid that is less dense than the Process Liquid.

Abstract: This invention relates generally to a process and an apparatus therefor for recovering valuable or harmful non-aqueous process liquids from mixtures or slurries that contain such liquids and solid particles. In a first aspect there is provided a filtration process for recovering a substantially non-aqueous process liquid from a feed slurry that predominantly comprises a mixture of the process liquid and solid particles, the process employing a sweep liquid that is less dense than the process liquid.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an enhanced process for separating dissolved and suspended solids from valuable or harmful liquids and more particularly to improving the operational aspects and separation efficiency of treating certain water miscible fluids including those used for oil and gas processing such as glycols, as well as automobile and aircraft fluids, that have become contaminated with dissolved and/or suspended solid matter.
