Abstract: A catalytic combustion burner made of porous material and a bottle equipped with such a burner have an optimized operating performance, which enables the burner to withstand and not be extinguished when it is subjected to strong air currents such as air conditioning.
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a device for catalytically diffusing a fragrance or active substances, wherein the device includes a bottle with a base, and containing a liquid including a fragrance; a catalytic combustion burner mounted on the base; a capillary wick attached to the burner and partially submerged in the liquid; and a closing cap removably mounted on the base and covering the burner. The cap includes a sealing means bearing against a periphery of a top of the base.
Abstract: The catalytic combustion burner made from a porous material is designed to cooperate with a wick that will carry a combustible composition to the burner that penetrates into the pores of the porous material, and comprises a peripheral zone that supports a catalyst and that surrounds a central zone without a catalyst forming a vaporization zone, the peripheral zone and the central zone being located in the upper part of the burner. The burner has a tapered peripheral surface flaring upwards.
Abstract: The system has a catalytic combustion burner which comprises on its upper part a peripheral zone supporting a catalyst and a central zone without a catalyst creating a vaporisation zone. The system further comprises a sleeve made of porous material comprising a cavity substantially axial designed to tightly hold a wick purposed to carry a combustible composition to the burner. The sleeve is placed in line with the lower part of the burner so that the combustible composition can move from the pores of the upper part of the sleeve towards the pores of the lower part of the burner.
Abstract: The invention provides a composition for diffusion in the air of an enclosure to be treated to combat the bacteria contained in the air of the enclosure. The composition contains 2-phenylphenol and natural and/or synthetic thymol dissolved in a solvent such as isopropyl alcohol, for example. The invention also provides a method of combating the bacteria in the air of an enclosure to be treated, which method includes a step of diffusing the antibacterial composition into the air of the enclosure. Finally, the invention provides the use of a catalytic combustion flask for implementing such a method.
Abstract: The invention concerns a catalytic combustion afterburner made of porous material, comprising in its lower part a substantially axial cavity for receiving a taper designed to convey to the burner a combustible liquid, and in its upper part an annular peripheral zone bearing a catalyst and enclosing a central zone without catalyst forming a vaporizing zone. The afterburner comprises in its upper part an open duct, communicating the cavity upper part with the outside air.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of combating insects and parasites, and in particular acarids, the method comprising a step of diffusing a composition that includes permethrin in a solvent. The method is such that a composition is diffused in a chamber to be treated, the composition comprising permethrin and tetramethrin in a solvent, and it is diffused in such a manner that the solvent is entirely in the gaseous state.
Abstract: The invention concerns a perfume diffuser comprising: a first conducting element arranged to receive part of the heat generated by the heat source, and to transmit by heat conduction the heat received; a second conducting element separated from the first element and arranged to be in contact with the perfumed substance; a third heat conducting element connected to the first conducting element and to the second conducting element so as to communicate by thermal conduction to the second element the heat transmitted by the first conducting element.
