Abstract: An adjustable hairband may include an outer layer of fabric, an inner layer of fabric fastened to outer layer to form a fabric tube comprising two channels between the layers, a first cord disposed within and extending out of a first plurality of openings to allow the layers to be cinched by the first cord, and a second cord disposed within and extending out of a second plurality of openings to allow the layers to be cinched by the second cord. A method for adjusting the hairband may include placing the hairband around a user's head to encompass the user's hair, pulling the first cord to tighten a first end of the hairband, securing the first cord in a tightened position with a lock, pulling the second cord to tighten an opposite end of the hairband, and securing the second cord in a tightened position with a lock.
