    Abstract: An order sorting system for sorting and assembling a batch of purchaser orders, comprises a plurality of stationary dispensable item dispensers for dispensing dispensable items with on-demand printed literature and a dispensable items conveyor for conveying the dispensable items to a lower level of a sorting station. A tote conveyor conveys a plurality of purchased articles to the upper level of the sorting station. Stationary sorting bins are disposed along an upper level of the sorting station in alignment with the dispensable items conveyor. The purchased articles are moved onto the dispensable items conveyor, either manually or preferably the sorting bins each have a releasable bottom for dropping contents of the sorting bins onto the dispensable items conveyor.

    Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing flat media comprises a media storage bin at a first end and a discharge chute at a second end, with a coarse media separator located adjacent the media storage bin and a rear conveyor which is intermittently driven to convey the media towards a singulation separator, having a front conveyor which delivers media to a transport conveyor and to a discharge chute. A sensor senses media at a location just before the singulation separator. Media from the bottom of the storage bin are pass through the coarse media separator and lie on the rear conveyor in shingled arrangement, and are pulled into the singulation separator one at a time. The rear conveyor works only when the sensor senses the absence of media.

    Abstract: An adjustable high-speed machine and process that makes and applies related documents to items comprising of a document receiving station which accepts various sized output from printers, an accumulator station which uses various types of sensors, optical marks and/or software to control the number of documents accumulated which form a set and initiates movement to other stations. The machine and process also consist of a document folder which provides various industry standard folds to sets of documents followed by an optional fold to create a smaller size and a transport device which presents sets of documents to other devices in different orientations and directions. Another device manages single or multiple rolls of adhesive or non-adhesive materials and creates a container or pouch for documents or devices, a device cuts, slices or separates material from rolls of tape or other material at programmed lengths to complete the pouch or container creation process.
