Patents Assigned to PVT Piepenbrock Verpackungstechnik GmbH
  • Patent number: 5603199
Abstract: A method and a device are specified for feeding, arranging and distributing articles on a conveyor and for inserting the articles in receptacles, particularly for articles which are identical or similar to each other (monoproducts). The system involved is flexible and cost-effective in operation, with which articles of differing shape and size can be processed without any substantial alteration of its components. For this purpose, articles fed unarranged are gathered by means of gathering rails in lanes in juxtaposition and apportioned, counted and distributed according to the capacity of subsequent inserter means, to form groups having the same number of articles which are transferred into receptacles, whereby excess articles are diverted from one lane to a neighboring lane.

  • Patent number: 5542235
Abstract: In a method and an appliance for manufacturing a blister pack having a carboard inlay (blister cardboard pack) a blister pack is provided as an endless tape having the products sealed in blisters. At a unification station a cardboard inlay having recesses for the blisters of the blister pack and having in the direction of conveyance of the blister pack substantially the length of a blister cardboard pack, is placed true-to-size on the blister pack tape, the recesses of the cardboard inlay surrounding the blisters of the blister pack. By a feed pawl, a holding collet and outfeed rollers the blister pack tape is fed to the unification station incrementally and further conveyed incrementally after placement of the cardboard inlay. In a sealing station the cardboard inlay is sealed to the blister pack tape. Subsequently the individual blister cardboard packs are separated from the blister cardboard pack tape in a cutting station.

  • Patent number: 5345750
Abstract: An apparatus for supplying flat, disc-like articles, such as pharmaceutical compacts and similarly configured technical small parts, in particular tablets (1), and for sealing the articles in hot-sealing sheet (5, 105) comprises a conveyor for supplying the articles and two hot-sealing rollers (30, 130), one of which is arranged on either side of a conveying path (3). A hot-sealing sheet (5, 105), is supplied from each roller so that the rollers receive the articles in seal wells (32, 132) between the hot-sealing sheets and seal the articles between the sheets. A finger roller (10) for positioning the articles is arranged on the conveying path (3) in front of the hot-sealing rollers (30, 130). Between the finger roller (10) and the hot-sealing rollers (30, 130) on both sides of the conveying path (3) there is a respective polygonal roller (20, 120) for geometrical constrained guiding and separating of the articles.

  • Patent number: 5309697
Abstract: A packaging machine for individual flat strip-like articles, in particular chewing gum strips (10), comprises means for cutting (110) and supplying (100), wrapping (300) and grouping (400; 500) of the individual articles. The packaging machine comprises a first fast section through which the articles pass continuously, i.e. substantially without retardations or accelerations. In this machine section the chewing gums are first cut from sheets (20) to strips (10) in a cutting device (110) and thereafter individually wrapped, a turning drum (340) possibly being employed. Subsequently, they are combined to groups in a grouping means (400; 500). In this second machine section the chewing gum groups are further conveyed intermittently in cycles with lower speed to a collective packing machine. By exchanging components in the grouping means of the fast machine section the articles can be combined to groups different in number and arrangement.
