Patent number: 4709897Abstract: A surveillance camera mount including a bracket and a base defining a hollow housing which are formed so as to render the mount essentially tamper-proof. The bracket is adapted to be secured to a mounting surface and includes a surface adapted to support a surveillance camera and an opening or channel disposed to face opposite the camera supporting surface. The base conforms to the opening or channel in the bracket and has a flange extending substantially about the perimeter thereof with at least a portion adapted to be disposed internally of the bracket. When the base is secured to the bracket, the fasteners adapted to mount the bracket to the mounting surface and the camera to the camera supporting surface are concealed.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1986Date of Patent: December 1, 1987Assignee: Quick-Set, IncorporatedInventor: Paul C. Patent number: 4618886Abstract: A support for a surveillance camera is disclosed comprising a plurality of interfitting molded parts. The support includes a base having two parts secured together forming a cooperative raceway about their periphery. A hollow body having a lower flange extending inwardly and rotatively captured in the raceway provides panning movement and supports a pair of tilt arms joined together by a platform. The platform is adapted to support a camera housing. A cable passageway is defined through the base interior and housing and through at least one tilt arm and the platform into the camera housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1985Date of Patent: October 21, 1986Assignee: Quick-Set IncorporatedInventor: Paul C. Patent number: 4586393Abstract: A structure providing minimum fit mounting and rigid locking of a worm and gear drive includes a gear rotatably supported to a base, a worm drivably engaging the gear and bearings supporting the worm for rotation about its axis. A housing supports the worm bearings and is itself rotatably supported to the base for rotation about a second axis, which axis is parallel to but eccentric from the worm axis. Means are provided for pivoting the bearing housing such that the eccentricity of the pivot axes causes the worm to move toward the gear for close mounting and/or rigid locking therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 1985Date of Patent: May 6, 1986Assignee: Quick-Set IncorporatedInventors: Paul C. Mooney, Theodore F. Koch

Patent number: 4455005Abstract: An adjustable tripod leg is disclosed having a first leg member with an axial track and a second leg member axially movable with respect to the first. Brake shoes are associated with the second leg member and include means for following the track. Also included is a cam biasing member which selectively biases the brake shoes into frictional contact with the track to prevent relative axial motion of the leg members.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1982Date of Patent: June 19, 1984Assignee: Quick-set, IncorporatedInventor: Paul C. Patent number: 4310136Abstract: A mounting arrangement which utilizes an oversized support shaft journaled in dual ball bearings in conjunction with worm gearing and axially adjustable set screws eliminates rotational and axial backlash in a swivel and tilt mounting for television surveillance cameras or other equipment which must be directionally adjustable. The mounting arrangement permits standard manufacturing and assembly techniques to be utilized while allowing simplified disassembly, repair and adjustment.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1979Date of Patent: January 12, 1982Assignee: Quick-Set, IncorporatedInventor: Paul C. Patent number: 4077087Abstract: A wedge-shaped brake mounted within a clevis of a swivel caster precludes rectilinear motion as well as swivel motion when engaged. Engagement of the brake is effected by the use of a pedal or lever and when not in its locking position, the brake remains removed from the caster wheel surface. The frictionally engaged brake increases the distance between the caster support or clevis and the axle of the wheel to remove or take up all tolerances in one direction eliminating all movement through caster parts. Several alternative brake-engaging mechanisms are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1976Date of Patent: March 7, 1978Assignee: Quick-Set, IncorporatedInventor: Paul C. Mooney
