Abstract: An illustrative lighting system provides a single light housing and an associated lens cover that together interchangeably receive one of a selection of heat sink trays and one of a selection of light reflectors. Each of the selection of heat sink trays includes a different number and/or orientation of light emitter packages. Each the selection of light reflectors includes openings and surfaces matching the number and orientation of light emitter packages for one of the selection of heat sink trays.
Abstract: An illustrative light fixture provides an emitter housing and a driver housing in a single fixture with an airflow channel defined between the emitter and driver housings. The airflow channel minimizes thermal conduction between the emitter and driver housings, and maximizes thermal convective cooling for at least one of the emitter housing and driver housing. The emitter housing includes vertical fins extending into the airflow chamber. The left and right sides of the emitter and driver housings define top and bottom edges that are respectively coplanar with the top and bottom edges of the vertical fins.

Abstract: An illustrative embodiment of a light fixture, which may be a type of recessed downlight called a wallwasher, includes a light housing and has a power supply, such as a driver and/or electrical junction box, mounted on or forming an arm. The arm is rotationally coupled to the light housing, with the arm having two axes of rotation relative to the light housing. That is, the arm freely rotates laterally about a first axis, and freely rotates in elevation about a second axis.
Abstract: An illustrative mounting arm for a light fixture provides multiple tilt angles based on the selected orientation of components of the mounting arm. The mounting arm includes a first and second arm portion, each having opposite ends oriented at different relative angles to provide the multiple tilt angles for the light. A support end arm or second arm portion connects directly or indirectly to a wall or other support structure. An intermediate or first arm portion couples between the second arm portion and a mounting pad portion of the light fixture. Each of the first and second arm portions are rotatable in orientation, thus changing the orientation of the angle ends, each combination of possible arm portion orientations displacing the light fixture and therefore the illumination pattern at a different elevation angle relative to the support structure.
Abstract: An illustrative LED driver circuit is based on a transition-mode power factor correction integrated circuit using flyback topology. The LED driver circuit features a universal input circuit having various fault and surge protections, output circuit open load and short circuit protection, and main transformer over temperature protection.

Abstract: An illustrative lighting fixture provides a light housing, a thermally conductive inwardly facing annular surface, one of a selection of light reflectors, and an associated lens cover. Mounting pads defined by the annual surface and the light reflector together receiving a selected number of light emitters and associated heatsinks coupled to selected ones of the mounting pads. Each of the selection of light reflectors includes openings for the light emitters and reflective surfaces matching a number and combination of positions of light emitters on selected ones of the mounting pads.

Abstract: An illustrative light fixture includes an emitter housing and airflow cooling channels. The airflow cooling channels are defined in the space between opposite edges of the emitter housing and a rim around the periphery of at least the opposite edges of the emitter housing. The airflow channels are further defined by fins spanning between the rim and opposite edges and spanning across a side of the housing opposite the illumination side.
Abstract: An illustrative light fixture includes a cylindrical lighting package housing surrounded peripherally by a cooling housing providing airflow cooling channels. The airflow cooling channels are defined in the space between the circumference of the cylindrical lighting package housing and a rim around the periphery of the light fixture. The cooling housing provides wide and long openings for air to rise vertically from below and through the airflow channels defined in part by cooling fins, and radial exit channels with vertical space for radially outward flow below a ceiling the fixture is mounted on, while also eliminating or minimizing the view through the airflow channels and to the ceiling.
