Patent number: 10543126Abstract: An earplug dispenser is provided which dispenses earplugs directly into a user's hand upon turning of a knob in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The earplug dispenser is designed for quick and efficient replacement of an empty container with a container full of earplugs. The internal delivery components are particularly designed to prevent earplug jamming or sticking and aid in the quick delivery of a desired number of earplugs directly into the user's hand. The design also allows the earplugs to be delivered without relying on a separate opening or port apart from the impeller thereby eliminating the need to use two hands to deliver or dispense the desired earplugs.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2017Date of Patent: January 28, 2020Assignee: Radians, Inc.Inventors: Dennis C. Pellerin, Shannon R. Owens

Patent number: 7135980Abstract: A passive biometric surveillance system capable of controlling access to a secure area or holding area for further interrogation or detainment. The system or apparatus passively measures a subject's various physiological parameters and compares a produced digital figure or facial image to a database. If the image corresponds to a notable individual, the subject is allowed access only to the holding area for further interrogation. If the image does not correspond to a notable individual, the system or apparatus provides an audio and/or video object or stimulus to the subject. The system or apparatus passively measures the subject's post-stimulus physiological parameters and compares these parameters with a predetermined threshold(s). Depending upon the outcome of this comparison, the subject is either allowed to pass into the secure area or is allowed only into the holding area for further interrogation.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2002Date of Patent: November 14, 2006Assignee: Radian, Inc.Inventors: Wayne K. Patent number: 7048776Abstract: A method and system removes nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) agents from an air stream from a facility HVAC. The system includes an irradiation zone, a saturation zone and a precipitation zone. A contaminant detection apparatus controls the irradiation, saturation and precipitation of the air stream. The irradiation destroys biological agents along with saturation of air stream with a water based solution. The biological debris and dissolved chemical agents are precipitated out of the air stream by condenser coils. Nuclear agents are removed from the air stream by a diverting the air stream though a bypass filter containing high mass particulate filters and activated charcoal. The contaminants are stored for later removal and destruction. The contaminate detection apparatus includes NBC sensors.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2002Date of Patent: May 23, 2006Assignee: Radian, Inc.Inventors: Wayne K. Moore, Daniel B. Nickell

Patent number: 6877581Abstract: A networkable engine-generator control system for use with mobile generators mounted on a frame with ground engaging wheels enabling air transport. Each control system consists of a microprocessor based controller and associated field inputs and outputs. Each processor also includes asynchronous communications allowing it to poll external devices from one port and communicate over a network out of another port. Each onboard generator is operated based on runtime hours and system load. The controller monitors engine and generator parameters and makes this information available to an operator using an external monitoring software package. Local operation of each generator is also available on the trailer itself. When operated in conjunction with other systems any one of the controllers may be made the master. The other controllers then automatically are polled by the master. The master coordinates generator operations on all networked systems. The frame utilizing a spine truss and outer frame.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2002Date of Patent: April 12, 2005Assignee: Radian, Inc.Inventors: Mazen Badr, Mel Chison, Donald Cope, Norman Edwards, Wayne Moore
