Abstract: The present invention describes a device for evaporating a volatile liquid from a container having a wick with a proximal end region within the container and a distal end region above the container, the device comprising: a housing; securing means within said housing to releasably secure the container to the device; a first electrical heating means; motion sensor means; and wherein the motion sensor means is operable, in use, to detect motion in the vicinity of the device and, on detecting motion, is further operable to cause the activation of at least one of: a second electrical heating means; a fan; a region of increased heating capacity within the first electrical heating means. The present invention further describes a method for evaporating the volatile liquid and a kit of parts for same.

Abstract: The present invention describes a spraying device comprising: a housing adapted to receive a container of fluid; actuation means configured, in use, for periodic actuation of the container of fluid; motion sensor means; a controller in operable communication with said actuation means and said motion sensor means; wherein the actuation means is operable, in use, to actuate at a time interval of t1; and wherein the motion sensor means is operable, in use, to detect motion in the vicinity of the device and communicate any detection to the controller which causes the actuation means to actuate; and wherein subsequent detection of motion by the motion sensor is communicated to the controller which causes the actuation means to actuate at a time interval of t2; and wherein t2?t1. The present invention further describes a method of spraying fluid from a container.

Abstract: A rigid, water-soluble container is made of an injection molded poly(vinyl alcohol) and/or a cellulose ether, which container encases a fabric care, surface care or dishwashing composition; and a capsule container comprising at least two components made of one or more material(s) that can be molded and which are water soluble or water dispersible or in which a substantial part of the surface of these components is water soluble or water dispersible so as to leave perforations throughout the wall when the capsular container is placed in contact with an aqueous environment. The container has one to six compartments, preferably one, two or three, the content of the various compartments being accessible to the aqueous environment when the capsular container is exposed to such an aqueous environment.
Abstract: A spraying device for spraying fragrance, pest control composition and/or a sanitising composition held within a pressurised container, the spraying device comprising a container receiving section (13) and a switching section (10) wherein the switching section (10) incorporates a solenoid switch.

Abstract: A liquid cleaning composition and a solid state catalyst are provided in combination. The solid state catalyst causes a chemical reaction in the liquid cleaning composition, when the liquid cleaning composition is brought into contact with it. The chemical reaction may increase the oxidising power of the liquid cleaning composition, or change its pH, or cause gas evolution, or release heat.

Abstract: A spray device comprises spray container receiving means and spray container actuation means (102, 126), wherein the spray container actuation means are adapted to periodically cause ejection of spray material from a spray container (116) by means of an actuator arm (102), wherein the actuator arm (102) incorporates position indication means (144).
Abstract: A hard-surface treatment composition comprising: a. a surfactant; b. a microcrystalline, liposomal, colloidal, particulate, macromolecular, or soluble polydiacetylene polymer, or a polydiacetylene polymer supported on or associated with a carrier particulate; c. optionally, an organic solvent; and d. water; wherein, when the composition contacts a grease or oily composition, said polydiacetylene polymer changes color from a first color to a second color, or changes from a first color to a colorless appearance.
