Abstract: Plate heat exchanger in the form of several heat exchanger plates (1) placed close to and sealed against each other and having pressed-out ridges (4) to form the heating surface of the relative plate in order to provide two different flow passages in the same plate heat exchanger. The plate heat exchanger according to the invention consists of identically like heat exchanger plates (1), the packing groove (9) of which has its bottom placed in the central plane of the plate (1). The heating surface of the relative plate is further divided into at least two area portions (5-8), the ridges (4) in one area portion (5) having an angle (.alpha..sub.1) relative to the symmetry axes (X and Y, respectively) of the plate lying in its plane, which is different from the angle (.beta..sub.1) formed by the ridges (4) in the other area portion (6) with the symmetry axes and that one or more of the other plates included in the heat exchanger are turned 180.degree.

Abstract: A gasket groove at plate elements of plate heat exchangers, characterized in that a first gasket groove of a plate element (1; 2), as seen in cross section, extends between the limiting planes of the element and has an elevation (3) arranged in the bottom of the groove, which elevation forms a cavity on the other side of the groove and consequently also the element, which cavity forms a second gasket groove cooperating with a corresponding cavity (3) of an adjacent, reversed first gasket groove of a second plate element (2; 1).

Abstract: The invention relates to a packing groove in a plate member for a heat exchanger, especially to a packing groove at the inlet and outlet portions of the plate member. The bottom of the packing groove includes according to the invention strengthening bars, which are embossed in the bottom of the packing groove and extend substantially along the groove.

Abstract: The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger of the type provided with plates (1,1) attached in pairs sealingly to each other, between which pairs of plates in the assembled state of the heat exchanger, gaskets (6) extend in grooves (3,4) embossed in the plates. The plates (1,1) attached in pairs to each other are connected to each other in the edge areas to be connected by a sealing folding (5,7), which extends inward between the individual plates and in between the embossings facing toward each other in the two plates and forming the grooves (3).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of lining a connection opening for fluid in a frame plate of a plate heat exchanger. A pipe socket with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the opening is provided with a flange and placed in the opening, and the flange abutting the undepressed area about the opening on the inside of the plate has a thickness not exceeding 1 mm. On the outside of the plate the portion of the socket projecting there is provided with a flange to abut the undepressed area about the opening on the other side of the plate.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of embossing heat exchanger plates in several steps by a pressing tool, in that after a portion of the sheet blank has been embossed a subsequent portion of the blank is embossed, after this has been positioned and fixed in place between the punch and the die of the press. The positioning and clamping takes place in such a manner that a groove with zigzag extension pressed at the preceding embossing step in the sheet is caused to engage between a groove and, respectively, a bead arranged in the punch and the die which prior to the embossing are moved against each other and inside of the plane of the punch and, respectively, die by spring force.

Abstract: The gasket grooves of plate elements are disposed in an intermediate plane. The gasket then will abut the distance members of both adjacent plate elements in its own gasket groove and parts of the respective distance members. The plate elements are fixed relative to each other when the plate elements are clamped together. The gaskets act as guide strips.
