  • Patent number: 11811201
Abstract: A wire stripper for stripping cables has two plier jaws, two outer clamping jaws, two inner cutting jaws, and two gripping parts. The cutting jaws can be displaced from a starting position into an end position by a pull rod while pressing together the gripping parts. The cutting jaws are guided on sliding block parts that rest against a sliding block fixed in the clamping jaws. The cutting jaws are moved toward each other to varying degrees through these sliding block parts, depending on a closed position of the clamping jaws, with the closed position determining the movement of the sliding block part. The sliding block parts can be manually adjusted independently of a closed position of the clamping jaws in terms of a position relative to the sliding block, while at the same time acting on both sliding block parts.

  • Patent number: 11682875
Abstract: Pressing jaws for opposite arrangement in crimping pliers, the pressing jaws having ribs, which extend in a rib longitudinal direction and move into each other during pressing. A guide surface extending transversely to the rib longitudinal direction outside of a working region of the ribs is formed, which guide surface interacts with a guide protrusion extending from the opposite pressing jaw. In another version, the pressing jaws have ribs, which are designed to mesh with each other and which have a rib longitudinal direction. Crimping pliers comprise two plier jaws, which are provided with oppositely arranged pressing jaws having ribs, which extend in a rib longitudinal direction and which, during pressing, move into each other and delimit a pressing jaw opening.

  • Patent number: 11502485
Abstract: Stripping pliers have two outer clamping jaws, two inner cutting jaws and two handle parts, wherein, in the course of pressing together the handle parts, the cutting jaws can be displaced from a starting position into an end position by a pull rod against the force of a spring acting on the pull rod. The pull rod is traversed by a pull pin which can move in a slot. In order to configure the stripping pliers such that they are further improved in a manner which is advantageous for handling, the pull rod has, at its handle-side end, a displacement part which is fastened to the pull rod and which is displaceable against the force of the spring relative to the pull rod, to free the pull rod from a handle-side mounting.

  • Patent number: 11469576
Abstract: Gripper jaws for an insulation stripper have a gripping surface and an attachment extension with ribs which run transversely to a longitudinal direction of a cable to be gripped when the gripping surfaces are fitted, and have groove-like recesses corresponding to the ribs and running between the latter. When the gripper jaws are fitted, the ribs can enter into the recesses of the opposing gripper jaw in accordance with the thickness of the cable to be gripped. Blades for an insulation stripper have, on their free ends that run into a blade tip with an acute angle in cross-section, a contour line which has a depression, when seen from a side view in which the contour line forms the termination line of the blade.

  • Patent number: 9410875
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring the wear of a pair of hand pliers with which crimping elements can be pressed onto a workpiece and a particular degree of crimping mp, to be obtained by actuating the pliers, set using a presetting device. An arrangement is described for carrying out this method, as is a pair of hand pliers implementing the method. The method includes: counting each actuation of the hand pliers and linking to the degree of crimping mp that has been set; reading out a wear prognosis value Vt, from a memory, for the degree of crimping that has been set; determining a total wear value V by adding up the wear prognosis value Vt for each actuation; verifying whether the total wear value reaches or exceeds a defined threshold value VG, and issuing a calibration request if necessary.

  • Patent number: 9403264
Abstract: The invention relates to a replaceable die for pliers to press workpieces, such as for crimping pliers for pressing electrical connector elements. By replacing the die, the pliers can be adapted to the press operation to be performed, such as adapting a crimping pliers to different types and sizes of the connector elements to be pressed. The die according to the invention comprises a first and a second die half that can be inserted into the pliers together and removed from the pliers together. The two die halves each have a guide for this purpose. Both die halves each further have a first connecting element for releasably attaching the die to the pliers. Both die halves finally each have a second connecting element for releasably attaching the die to a storage fixture. This ensures that the die formed by the two die halves is held in the storage fixture during or after removal from the pliers, and remains therein for storage.

  • Patent number: 8800134
Abstract: The present invention relates to a positioning device for positioning an element to be crimped in a crimping tool, for example a wire end sleeve or an electrical connecting plug. The invention further relates to a crimping tool for crimping a connecting element to be situated in a pressing axis. To allow the element that will be crimped to be brought into the pressing axis, the positioning device has a retaining unit for retaining, about its periphery, the element that will be crimped. The retaining unit has a retaining opening which encompasses the pressing axis coaxially. The positioning device further permits the positioning of the element that will be crimped within the pressing axis, in order, in particular, to ensure the necessary insertion depth of the element to be crimped in the crimping tool. For this purpose, the positioning device of the invention has an axial stop, with which the position in the pressing axis of the element to be crimped can be defined.

  • Patent number: 8613210
Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring the wear of manual pliers. The principles focus on manual pliers, in which press elements can be pressed onto a workpiece and the degree of pressing that can be achieved by actuating the manual pliers can be adjusted with a presetting device. A reference position of the presetting device is measured prior to a first use of the manual pliers, this measurement involving actuating the manual pliers. By an adjustment of the presetting device, the press elements are brought into a position with a reference degree of pressing. Next, after use, the wear position of the presetting device is measured in the same manner, to bring the press elements into a position with the degree of pressing. A message is output when the degree of the wear position deviates from the degree of the reference position by more than the degree of wear permissible.

  • Patent number: 8474299
Abstract: A crimping tool has crimping dies arranged in a star shape directed at a crimping region and subjected to rotational action radially outwards for the crimping movement by means of an actuating part. The crimping dies are mounted about an axis of rotation transversely to the longitudinal extent thereof for pivoting-in and form an abutment region on the crimping region side of the axis of rotation. A radial movement and/or circumferential movement is brought about to coincide with the rotational action on the crimping dies, in order to obtain abutment of a crimping die in the abutment region thereof against the counter-abutment region of another crimping die adjacent to the crimping die in the pivoting direction or counter-pivoting direction.
