    Abstract: A plasma accelerator with closed electron drift includes a magnetic system (4), a cathode (10), and a discharge chamber with an annular acceleration passage (3) accommodating a hollow anode (7) communicating therewith by way of at least one outlet passage (8). The outlet passage (8) is curved, and a straight line drawn from any interior of anode (7) to any point in the acceleration passage (3) intersects walls of anode (7).
