Abstract: A device for positioning and joining at an angle, by means of a sewing machine, the borders of two flaps of fabric, particularly of a horizontal cloth and of a vertical band for forming the case of a mattress, having an angular element which comprises a first laminar channel, forming a guide for the border of the cloth, and a second laminar channel, which forms a guide for the border of the band; the channels are arranged at a right angle and each channel is comprised between two walls: one wall is external to the channels and the other wall is internal thereto; respective through openings are formed in the outer wall and two feeders are also provided which comprise rotating heads which are arranged so as to tangentially engage the cloth and the band through the through openings in order to place the borders of the cloth and of the band, guided in the channels, adjacent to each other.

Abstract: The apparatus allows to automatically change bobbin cases in quilting machines. The apparatus comprises a pick-up element which is mounted on a carriage which can move between a magazine which contains full cases and a hook assembly of a sewing machine in which an empty case is to be replaced. The pick-up element extracts the empty case and deposits it into a specifically provided container. It is further positioned at the magazine, from which it removes a full case and transfers the case into the hook assembly.

Abstract: The apparatus has a structure with two frames which can move towards each other and between which the mattress is locked. The frames support a plurality of devices for applying the quilting braces. Each device comprises a needle, to which a quilting brace is coupled; the needle is driven through the mattress. On the other side of the mattress there is provided a unit which applies a tuft to the quilting brace guided by the needle. During this operation, the mattress is compressed so that once it is released it expands and tensions the applied quilting braces.

Abstract: An apparatus for temporarily storing products at the exit of a quilting machine comprising an inclined guiding element along which at least one carriage, provided with an element for gripping the product manufactured by the quilting machine, can slide by gravity, a first and a second stop elements for the carriage being arranged along the guiding element, and actuation elements, which act on the grip element to release the removed product, being associated with the stop elements. The carriage released by the second stop element is transferred onto a vertical lifting unit, which is provided with retention and release elements for retaining the carriage at the lower stroke limit and releasing it at the upper stroke limit to insert the carriage on the guiding element.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising two horizontal and parallel guides in which the lateral borders of the cloth to be quilted are inserted. The guides have grippers and can move transversely to the cloth advancement direction. Downstream of the guides there are provided two counterrotating rollers between which the cloth that exits from the guides is to be inserted. Downstream of the counterrotating rollers there is provided a cloth finishing device which forms two parallel lines of stitches. The device is also provided with a rotating blade which cuts the cloth along a line which lies between the two lines of stitches.

Abstract: The apparatus has a pair of chains on which a bar is transversely fixed. The bar is provided with clamps for gripping the front edge of a cloth to be quilted. The chains move the cloth from a position for gripping its front edge to a quilting position, where it is transferred onto the clamps of a carriage which transfers the cloth onto a removal device.

A gearmotor-driven carriage is movable horizontally along the guides in a first direction. The carriage bears rods extending parallel to the guides. A gearmotor-driven trolley is movable along the rods in a second direction which is orthogonal to the first direction. The trolley rotatably supports a downwardly extending C-shaped frame having a platform supporting a working unit. Abstract: The quilting apparatus includes a framework upon which a carriage with sewing head and crochet device is slidingly supported in a first direction. The sewing head and crochet device are slidingly supported in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction on transverse beams of the carriage. The carriage is positionable on a selected one of at least two cloth holding frames carriages with cloth holding clamps, and cloth loading tables, working in synchronization with the sewing carriage to remove and load cloths at the cloth holding frame where quilting is not taking place.
