Patent number: 9902043Abstract: A cutting tool includes a plurality of cut-off wheels which are arranged alongside one another coaxially along a common rotation axis. Each of the plurality of cut off wheels comprises a blade body which comprises a plurality of cutting segments distributed around a circumference of the blade body, each blade body defining a central cutting plane. Some of the plurality of cutting segments are configured to protrude axially out of the central cutting plane. The plurality of cutting segments are arranged so that a segment gap exists between two cutting segments arranged adjacent to one another in a direction of rotation. At least a first of the plurality of cutting segments arranged in a first axial position is configured to be larger than a second of the plurality of cutting segments arranged in a second axial position which differs from the first axial position.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2014Date of Patent: February 27, 2018Assignee: RHODIUS SCHLEIFWERKZEUGE GMBH & CO. Publication number: 20160236326Abstract: The invention relates to an abrasive medium which is bonded with a thermosetting material and comprises abrasive particles, a thermosetting binder and optionally further fillers, and contains a phosphate-based additive, the percentage of the phosphate-based additive being 1 to 10 wt.-% of the starting mixture of the abrasive medium. The phosphate-based additive is homogeneously distributed in the abrasive medium. The invention also relates to a method for producing corresponding thermosetting resin-bonded grinding disks.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2014Publication date: August 18, 2016Applicant: RHODIUS SCHLEIFWERKZEUGE GMBH & CO. Publication number: 20160229024Abstract: A resin-bonded grinding disk for use on a hand-held power tool includes a clamping flange. The resin-bonded grinding disk includes a top side, an underside arranged opposite to the top side, a grinding disk surface area, a central cutout configured to hold the grinding disk in the clamping flange, a first reinforcement fabric arranged on the top side, and a second reinforcement fabric arranged on the underside. The first reinforcement fabric comprises a first reinforcement fabric surface area which substantially corresponds to the grinding disk surface area. The second reinforcement fabric comprises a second reinforcement fabric surface area which is smaller than the grinding disk surface area.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2014Publication date: August 11, 2016Applicant: RHODIUS SCHLEIFWERKZEUGE GMBH & CO. Patent number: 7004829Abstract: The flapped grinding disk comprises a disk- or plate-shaped support and grinding flaps which overlap each other on the support in the manner of shingles and which are secured in an adhesive bed. Apertures are cut away on the periphery of the flapped grinding disk, the apertures have approximately the form of a part of an annulus with a front edge and an edge at the rear in the direction of rotation of the grinding disk and at least the edge of the apertures that is at the rear in the direction of rotation of the grinding disk runs approximately radially. The grinding flap adjoining the rear edge of the aperture can form a ramp. The front edge of the apertures can also run approximately radially. The radial depth of the apertures can be equal to the radial extent of the grinding flaps, so that no remnants of grinding flaps remain at the inner edge of the apertures.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2005Date of Patent: February 28, 2006Assignee: RHODIUS Schleifwerkzeuge GmbH & Co.
