Abstract: A bottle cap with a gas barrier seal for use in combination with the screw threaded neck of a carbonated beverage container and the like, having a body formed with an annular skirt and an end wall and a relatively stiff, high gas barrier, circular seal having a diameter greater than the outside diameter of the neck of the container where the seal is inserted adjacent the end wall into the cap body which includes a frusto-conical bead clamping element having a cone angle equal to or less than 90.degree. and an annular rib to prevent lateral displacement of the circular seal.

Abstract: A dispenser for removing a fluid from a container, including a fixed part with a portion for attachment to the container and a generally cylindrical pouring portion, a side fluid outlet, a moveable part and a head portion. A tamper-proof strip defines a first axial position and snap means define a second axial position for the moveable part relative to the fixed part.

Abstract: A tamperproof cap with pourer for closing the neck of a container having an exterior attachment flange includes a fixing ring with an interior bead for attachment to the exterior flange on the neck of the container, a stopper hinged to the ring, and a tear-off tamperproof strip joining the stopper to the ring until the stopper is opened for the first time. The fixing ring, the stopper and the tamperproof strip are molded in one piece from plastics material. A pourer member is fitted into cap and fits to the neck of the container when the cap is fitted to the neck so that the hinged stopper co-operates with the pourer spout of the pourer member.

Abstract: Composite material for seals of plastic caps, especially of screw caps, ensuring leakproofing against liquids and imperviousness to gases at the same time, characterized in that it comprises, combined in a coherent multilayer structure, at least one middle layer (4) made of a plastic substance with a gas barrier effect, with a high modulus of rigidity, two outer layers (7) arranged on either side of the middle layer and consisting of a plastic substance with a low modulus of rigidity, each of the outer layers having a thickness greater than the thickness of the middle layer, and between the middle layer (4) and each outer layer (7) an intermediate layer (5) made of a substance of the same class as the outer layer, but with a high modulus of rigidity.

Abstract: Leaktight screw cap composed of two cup-shaped shells rendered integral by fitting one into the other, the lowest shell being made from a flexible plastic having a female thread and a sealing device and the outer shell being made from a hard plastic. A disk made from a material having a gas-barrier effect is inserted between the bottoms of the outer shell of the inner shell. This screw cap is especially applicable to beverages and other products that are sensitive to gas exchanges with the outside.

Abstract: Cap moulded in one piece, comprising a ring (7) having on the inside a bead (10) for attaching it to the neck (1) of the container to be capped, a stopper (8) joined by a hinge (15) to said ring (7) and having a sealing skirt (13), and a tamperproof strip (9) joining the stopper (8) to the ring (7) until the first time the cap is opened. To cap a container having a neck (1) with a single attachment flange (3), the stopper (8) includes an annular bearing surface (12) bearing on the upper edge (5) of the neck and surrounding said skirt (13), said skirt (13) projecting from said bearing surface (12) over a length (1) at least equal to the distance h.sub.1 between the lower side (4) of the flange (3) and the upper edge (5) of the neck, and the hinge is offset relative to said annular bearing surface (12) towards the ring (7) by an amount (h.sub.2) at least equal to said distance (h.sub.1).

Abstract: A spout and sealing cap assembly for a container which includes a spout which is connectable to the container, a sealing cap for closing off a dispensing opening in the spout and a bi-stable hinge integrally formed with the sealing cap. The bi-stable hinge maintains the cap only in one of two stable positions, an open position and a closed position. The spout is formed as a first one-piece plastic part with an undercut profile connection portion. The sealing cap is also formed as a second one-piece plastic part with an undercut profile connection portion spaced from the bi-stable hinge. The plastic of the spout is a formed of a more flexible plastic than that of the sealing cap. The bi-stable hinge is formed integrally with the sealing cap and, thus, also is formed of the relatively rigid, hard plastic.

Abstract: A spout and sealing cap assembly for a container which contains a product such as a liquid or pasty product. The container includes a nick closed off by a lid that must be pierced for dispensing the product. The assembly includes a spout with a body that is fixed to the neck. The spout also includes a hollow piercing and dispensing element provided with sharp edges designed to pierce the lid. The element is suspended inside the body by a deformable annular bulged membrane which enables the piercing element to assume an upper position and a lower position wherein the sharp edges extend below the ruptured lid. The spout body is covered by a sealing cap which assumes either an open or a closed position. The cap includes a sealing member extending of a top section of the cap. When the cap is closed, the sealing member is designed for insertion in sealing fashion within the hollow element or in a fitting and sealing relationship about the hollow element both when the element is in the upper and the lower position.

Abstract: Pourer and stopper cap assembly comprising a guarantee strip (23) produced in a single piece with the pourer (1). The guarantee strip (23) extends from the pourer (1) over the entire height of the cap (2) and, at its free upper end, has a turned-in portion (29) which covers the outer upper edge of the cap (2).The invention is used for the packaging of liquids, especially for long-term storage.

Abstract: Stopper device comprising a screw cap (1) made of oxygen-permeable, injection-moulded thermoplastic, whose bottom (2) is covered internally with an oxygen-impervious composite sheet (5) comprising a layer of paper (6) and a layer (8) of PVC and adhering to the bottom by virtue of the fact of the injection of the cap (1) onto the sheet (5), on the paper side, a plastisol seal (9) being cast on the sheet (5), on the PVC side, so as to adhere thereto after gelling.

Abstract: A tamperproof closure has a raised top and a depending tearable guarantee strip. The strip has a tongue extending upward to the level of the upper edge of the top.

Abstract: An improved pouring cap having a peripheral bellows above a horizontal annular portion, said bellows joining outside and inside skirt portions. This cap facilitates fitting upon bottle necks having substantial differences in neck thicknesses, and is particularly applicable to pouring caps having an easily removable sealing membrane therein, which membrane is removed prior to pouring contents from a bottle.

Abstract: This is a combination pouring spout and closure cap which straddles the same. The closure cap has two annular dependent spaced skirts. The inner of these skirts fits tightly the inner space of the pouring spout and is held in position by coaction of circumferentially spaced helicoidal ridges on the inner face of the outer skirt with an interrupted ridge on the outer face of the pouring spout.
