  • Patent number: 10620578
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device to form an image on an image bearer and circuitry configured to accept, from a user, an input of a density level selected from a plurality of different density levels and control an image forming condition under which the image forming device forms the image. The circuitry is configured to correct density unevenness of the image formed on the image bearer by the image forming device and correct the density unevenness of the image at the density level accepted. The density unevenness is unevenness appearing in a main scanning direction orthogonal to a direction of conveyance of the image bearer during image formation.

  • Patent number: 10198477
Abstract: A request classifier service implemented on a server computer receives an input request from a client device. The request classifier service accesses classification data from a knowledge repository. The knowledge repository includes one or more defined input requests mapped to one or more classification types. The request classifier service determines confidence values for the one or more defined input requests. The confidence values represent a relative match score between the input request from the client device and each of the one or more defined input requests. The request classifier service sends classification types to a processing service implemented on the server computer. The processing service determines a process response type for the input request based upon the one or more classification types. The processing logic routes the process response type and the input request to a destination mapped to the process response type.

  • Patent number: 7372599
Abstract: An image processor has a controller unit connected to at least one of functional units such as an image reading unit, detects a source of input of image data according to a network I/F or a parallel bus I/F. An image-memory access control section transmits the image data input from each of the functional units to a memory group and also transmits the image data stored in the memory group to the functional unit. A system controller controls the overall apparatus and also controls the image-memory access control section according to the input source of the image data to determine an order of transmitting the image data to the memory group.

  • Patent number: 7210757
Abstract: Recording data is produced from first image data corresponding to each pixel with a first number of gradations so as to supplied to a recording apparatus, which expresses each pixel with a number of gradations smaller than the first number of gradations. Second image data is produced by converting the first image data into a color space that can be output by the recording apparatus. Third image data is produced based on a second number of gradations of the second image data so that the third image data has a third number of gradations. The recording data is produced by applying a halftone process to the third image data. The third number of gradations of the third image data is adjusted to be equal to or larger than the second number of gradations of the second image data in accordance with a number of colors for each pixel used in the second image data.

  • Patent number: 5103422
Abstract: A three-dimensional magnetic memory medium which comprises a substrate, a plurality of magnetic layers and a plurality of nonmagnetic layers. The magnetic layers and the nonmagnetic layers are alternately stacked one above the other on the substrate. Each magnetic layer comprises a transfer area, wherein assuming that n is a positive even whole number, the (n-1)th magnetic layer (the 3rd layer, the 5th layer, the 7th layer, . . .) has a transfer pattern different from that of the nth magnetic layer (the 2nd layer, the 4th layer, the 6th layer, . . .). An uppermost magnetic layer is used as a signal writing area and as a signal reading area. A position corresponding to a signal "1" and a position corresponding to a signal "0" are arranged in the signal writing area at a position superposed on a position of "1" and on a position of "0" in a transfer pattern of the (n-1)th magnetic layer, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4941015
Abstract: In a laser printer or similar electrophotographic image recorder of the type having a photoconductive element subunit including a photoconductive drum and an upper and a lower unit which are hinged together and each is loaded with a different group of structural parts and elements inclusive of the subunit, a device for screening the drum includes a screening member which is movable in interlocked relation to opening and closing motions of the upper unit. The screening member covers the drum when the upper unit is opened and uncovers it when the upper unit is closed. When the image recorder is in operation with the upper unit being closed, the drum is uncovered to allow a laser beam to reach the drum. When the image recorder is out of operation with the upper unit being opened, the screening member covers the drum in response to an opening motion of the upper unit so as to screen the drum against external light.
