Patents Assigned to Robert S. McKay
  • Patent number: 4731042
Abstract: The disclosed toy may be used for capturing an intended toy victim within a snare net sufficiently large when opened to fit over and around at least part of the victim. A carrier, shaped as a monstrous insect or the like, may be used for holding the net open while stalking the victim, for positioning the net over and down around the victim, and for releasing the net when desired to snare the victim. The carrier may have a body and a plurality of legs depending from the body in an array to fit at least partially down and around the victim. Corresponding free ends of the legs have means for receiving and removably holding the snare net, to hold the same opened. The net may be elongated and generally tubular in shape, having a closed end and an open end. Flexible elastic means at the open net end, may be stretched to the holding means on the legs; and when released, may resiliently close the open net end against and relative to the victim.

  • Patent number: 4670991
Abstract: A drawing machine having a frame for translatory movement upon a drawing surface. The frame defines an elongated, transverse interior opening. A plurality of template means are removably receivable within the interior opening. Each includes an aperture defining a shape which may be traced upon the drawing surface by the user. The template means may be repositioned along the transverse length of the elongated interior opening. Translatory movement of the drawing machine upon the drawing surface and guided movement of the template means along the interior opening permit the user to create varied patterns and pictures.

  • Patent number: 4639236
Abstract: A toy formed as a small vehicle which is propelled from a simulated explosive such as dynamite. The simulated dynamite is inserted in the rear of the toy. The toy vehicle is released from the simulated explosive by a cable attached to a plunger type detonator. The insertion of the simulated dynamite into the vehicle compresses a spring which drives the vehicle away from the simulated dynamite on actuation of a release mechanism.
