Patents Assigned to Roberta H. Wessendorf
  • Patent number: 4367486
Abstract: Reflected illuminating radiation is transmitted through a restricted window in an opaque surface undergoing scanning movement to project an image pattern on a closely spaced imaging surface from which the image pattern is reproduced on a viewing screen. The viewing screen is locally variable in transparency to provide images of objects viewed by observers with parallax.

  • Patent number: 4345596
Abstract: Disclosed is a surgical instrument for insertion into a blood-vessel lumen and comprises a separable assembly of longitudinal sections in mating relationship having tube and hub sections. Twisting movement of lateral separator tabs integral with the proximal ends of the hub sections effects relative movement to initially unlock releasable interdigitation locking means which the tube sections incorporate distally, and which the hub sections incorporate both distally and proximally, with such continued relative movement causing biased interfaces on the hub sections to cam open and force apart the longitudinal sections.

  • Patent number: 4334529
Abstract: Discloses a sterile, disposable surgical drape having top and bottom layers sandwiching therebetween a blank of elastic material having equally-spaced holes. The top and bottom layers have aligned square openings exposing thereby said elastic material and holes. Covering tabs having sealing tabs seal the openings in the top layer and lift tabs to facilitate manipulative removal of the covering tabs. The drape is specifically designed and constructed so that tubing, wiring, cables, and the like that are operatively connected to non-sterile equipment may be sterilized and neatly arranged and carried by the spaced holes of the drape.

  • Patent number: 4325370
Abstract: Discloses a device for the external fixation of the barium enema tip inserted into the patient's rectum. The device has a waist band, anterior and posterior straps suitably attached to the waist band a locking ring for releasable and removable locking engagement with a locking groove on the barium enema tip. The barium enema tip has a lumen communicating with side holes, a proximal end having a raised ridge to thereby receive and retain enema-bag tubing, a distal end, and an hour-glass shaped cuff having a concave portion whereby the anal sphincter complementally receives and locks thereon to prevent leakage of barium liquid.

  • Patent number: 4320794
Abstract: Discloses a self-contained and non-polluting mobile ingot extractor having a wheeled undercarriage and drawbar frame with a hitch for towing same. The extractor has longitudinal frame members carrying cross-members which carry stops and a hydraulic ram. The longitudinal axis of the stuck ingot and its mold is horizontally disposed between said stops and ram head of the hydraulic ram. A low volume-high pressure hydraulic pump exerts force through the ram head upon the stuck ingot to remove same from its mold.

  • Patent number: 4274310
Abstract: Discloses a torque multiplication device for use in tightening or loosening a nut, lug, bolt head and the like, employing a planetary transmission of sun, planet and orbit gear means which multiplies the applied torque input to produce an output torque to facilitate and simplify such tightening or loosening. Brake means incorporated with the device prevents rotation of the orbit gear means.A modification of the invention discloses an extensible brake arm which has an anchoring socket for securement with another nut, lug, bolt head and the like to likewise prevent rotation of the orbit gear means.Another modification of the invention discloses two sets of sun, planet and orbit gear means having one common, drive output to produce uniform and balanced drive output.Another modification of the invention discloses a ring-like brake arm having a plurality of anchoring sockets for locking securement with the lugs of a motor-vehicle wheel.
