  • Publication number: 20070116546
Abstract: The invention relates to distribution systems and methods of their use. In some embodiments, the invention relates to a truck and trailer comprising a platform that is configured to allow movement of containers including, but not limited to, a tank. In some embodiments, the invention relates to chemical distribution units that are configured such that a plurality of chemical tanks, together or individually, can be moved partially over the edge of a platform, including but not limited to, over the edge of a trailer. In another embodiment, the invention relates to a chemical distribution system constructed on the deck of a trailer comprising first plurality of chemical tanks and a second plurality of chemical tanks configured such that the first and second plurality of tanks can be moved sufficiently over the edge of the trailer deck to allow a person to access the top of each of the individual tanks.

  • Patent number: 6698915
Abstract: A blender mixes a liquid and a quantity of particulate solids for use in hydrocarbon well operations. The blender is mounted on a vehicle having a suction manifold of rectangular tubing. The long side of the rectangular tubing is vertical, is positioned on one side of the vehicle and provides a large number of inlet connections which, in use, connect to hoses leading to tanks filled with a frac liquid or the like. The discharge manifold may be a mirror image of the suction manifold. The rectangular suction manifold tubing provides greater spacing between the inlet connections and greater volume throughput in use. Also, the rectangular suction manifold tubing is tilted so that the inlets are angled toward the ground.

  • Patent number: 6491107
Abstract: A pair of spooled tubing strings are simultaneously run into a hydrocarbon well carrying a chamber providing a check valve. The chamber is positioned below a hydrocarbon formation so that liquid produced from the formation falls adjacent and passes into the chamber through the check valve. Periodically, gas is delivered through one of the spooled tubing strings to push liquid out of the chamber upwardly through the other of the tubing strings. Gas produced from the formation flows upwardly in an annulus between the spooled tubing strings and a production string in the well. The apparatus can be used to run only one string of tubing into a well and has a number of features, including measuring the load applied to the tubing string and measuring the amount of tubing run into or out of a well.

  • Patent number: 4436475
Abstract: In accordance with an illustrative embodiment of the present invention, an attachment to a log skidder to enable selective distribution of the weight of a log being towed to the front and rear wheels comprises a boom pivotally mounted between its ends on the logging arch, the boom having an abutment surface on its rear end arranged to engage the elevated end portion of the log, and a hydraulic cylinder connected between the front end of the boom and the frame of the vehicle, the cylinder when extended causing upward force to be applied to the front end of the boom and to the logging arch and downward force to be applied to the elevated end portion of the log and to the vehicle frame to effect a transfer of weight to the front wheels of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4206797
Abstract: In an axially elongated, flexible-walled fluid-distensible ground contacting tire which is mounted on a wheel axle by clamping the ends of the tire between a wheel flange and a keeper ring, a guard which projects outwardly from the ends of the tire and encircles the keeper ring for fending off obstructions which tend to jam between the keeper ring and the ends of the tire. The guard is integral with the tire on each end of the tire adjacent to and surrounding the keeper ring and projects outwardly from each tire a distance at least as great as the thickness of the keeper ring and includes a deflecting surface extending from the tire ends outwardly and towards the tire axis for deflecting obstructions.
