  • Patent number: 7090149
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for spraying an atomized liquid, which includes a hollow casing including an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is adapted to receive an airflow. The outlet includes a nozzle having an aperture. The apparatus also includes a liquid cartridge associated with the hollow casing and a tube with a tip and a source end attached to the liquid cartridge. The tip of the tube is positioned in a region on a side of the nozzle outside of an interior of the hollow casing and the tube is adapted to draw a liquid out of the liquid cartridge. A method is provided for producing an airbrush, which includes providing two halves of an outlet end of a hollow casing and providing an inlet end of the hollow casing. The method further includes providing a liquid cartridge including anchors for attaching the liquid cartridge to the two halves of the outlet end and providing a nozzle insert adapted to fit between the two halves of the outlet end near an outlet.

  • Patent number: 6997396
Abstract: An airbrush as used for a media delivery system comprises an air pressurizer, a power source and a media reservoir integrated into a single hand held device. The air pressurizer comprises a pump and motor assembly delivering pressurized air by way of first and second air conduits to a nozzle. The media is stored in a detachable reservoir housed within the device and provided with a liquid conduit for conducting the media to the nozzle. Upon actuation of a spray button, the pump and motor assembly causes a stream of air to flow through the first and second air conduits and past an opening in the media conduit. Thus, a negative pressure is induced into the media conduit. The negative pressure draws liquid from the reservoir through the media conduit where it is entrained within the air stream as minute droplets and exits the body of the airbrush through a nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6729785
Abstract: A mechanical pencil and/or pen and method for operating a mechanical pencil and/or pen is provided. The mechanical pencil includes a barrel, a lead chamber, a first pressure actuator, an eraser chamber, and a second pressure actuator. The first pressure actuator is situated on the outer surface and is coupled to the lead chamber. The lead chamber holds the lead and pressing the first pressure actuator advances the lead chamber causing the lead to advance. The second pressure actuator is situated on the outer surface and is coupled to the eraser chamber. The eraser chamber holds the eraser and pressing the second pressure actuator advances the eraser chamber causing the eraser to advance. A pen including a barrel, a pen chamber, an eraser chamber, and an eraser pressure actuator is also provided. The barrel includes a pen-end, an eraser-end, and an outer surface. The pen chamber is situated in the pen-end and holds the pen. The eraser chamber is situated in the eraser-end and holds an eraser.

  • Patent number: 6599567
Abstract: Glitter is applied to cylindrical articles by forcing them through a pot of clear lacquer, squeegeeing the coating to a desired thickness by means of an elastic elastomeric grommet, and then immediately passing the articles through a pot of glitter. The articles then pass through a vacuum tube, which removes the excess glitter for reuse.
